Hulk Hogan appeared on BJ Shea's Morning Experience this morning on 99.9 in Seattle, Washington to promote tonight's live TNA Impact special.Hogan claimed that Vince McMahon was worried about TNA being on Monday night just based on the fact that Bret Hart was being brought in to host Raw. Hogan said people within WWE have told him it's chaos there and just by giving fans a choice, "I win again." Hogan promised to show everyone how much fun wrestling can be again and promised that everyone needed to tune in right from the start because they would be kicking things off fast and hard.Hogan said a few months ago, he had the chance to go back to WWE but, "didn't want to play the political game with Shawn Michaels and Triple H" and "getting in trouble because the fans cheered too loud for me." He compared going to TNA to going to WCW and starting the NWO and commented, "WWE is in a whole lot of trouble." He said that before, if WWE "wanted to run Randy Orton vs. John Cena for 30 weeks in a row, there was no choice", but now, fans will have a choice.During the appearance, Hogan responded to comments made by former WWE World champion CM Punk about Hogan being out for himself, not TNA and for Hogan to "prove him wrong." After listening to the comments from Punk, Hogan commented, "Well, you know, it's kind of like the law of attraction. He's probably going to attract more of that negative stuff to his career because, you know, if you're functioning on that level, that's probably what you are going to attract, but at the end of the day, you know, I was selling out Madison Square Garden when that kid was pooping in his diapers, so you know, you're going to see what I'm all about. I'm not there to wrestle. I don't have a contract to wrestle. I'm there to run this company. Make it better, like I said, give the talent a choice. All the talents that are locked in there...I'm sure Vince McMahon is giving CM Punk the big push but paying him crumbs, because I know how that goes, because I'm giving the fans a choice, and the talent a choice and I'm going to prove to this negative guy that he's wrong."When asked about Punk making a "personal attack", Hogan responded, "That's cool. I understand he's surrounded by negative stuff up there and I can see why he's jaded in his opinion. One of the things that I learned a long time ago is that you can't judge anyone. You can't judge a book by it's cover. Some of the craziest looking, weirdest people seem to be the nicest people and the most honest people in the world. I would never judge anyone before I meet them. Some day down the road, CM Punk and I are probably going to work together and I would never judge him under any preconceived notions. I would judge him on the type of person he was when I met him. It's all good, brother. I am vibing so high brother. I am going to reward those who are with me and those who aren't my friends, I am going to win them over and make them my friends."
I really wanted TNA take to take the opportunity and turn things around, but once again; we get a complete joke. The introduction of everybody and anybody available to work for them, the ridiculous matches (Why does Homicide get DQ'd in a CAGE MATCH, but AJ Styles can be attacked mid main event without a DQ?) and the lack of general direction all put me off the show. That being said, bad show or not; I would like to see iMPACT! moved to Monday full time, even if they do put on a bad show each week. The atmosphere of it all (even though it fell throughout the night) was... exciting.
