It's the time of year when everyone wants to win the Royal Rumble match and point at the WrestleMania sign, but this time the stakes were even higher, with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line!
The Last Man Standing match was fantastic and a brilliant way to kick things off.
Good to see the return of a trombone with the début of "Francesca II", and great to see The New Day retain the titles, as entertaining as always.
For some reason I just can't find Kalisto convincing as a champion, so I'm not really a fan of him becoming the new United States Champion - especially for the second time in a matter of days.
The match between BEcky Lynch and Charlotte was a great one for the most part, I'm not so sure Ric Flair's "kiss stealing" was needed, but I especially don't like the way the finish happened - a jacket, really?
Great to see Sasha Banks appear and attack Charlotte, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is looking forward to how things will progress.
The surprise début of AJ Styles was an awesome moment, and the fact that he was eliminated by Kevin Owens rather than Reigns is likely something that saved a lot of potential vitriol on top of what was already in line for Reigns for the time he spent not being involved in the match.
R-Truth treating it as a ladder match, only to realise that it wasn't when he reached up to grab a title that wasn't there was funny.
I'm glad to see that Reigns didn't retain his title, but I don't really think that Triple H winning was the right direction to go in either. I was of course still hoping for a surprise return and win for Daniel Bryan, or failing that, the surprise main roster début and win for Finn Bálor, but obviously neither of those were in the cards.
