*SUPER OFFICIAL* RAW 1000 Discussion
« on: 18 July 2012, 05:13:01 PM »

Okay, figured I'd make a new thread as the last one was a lot of speculation and discussion, so we could round up all the news and announcements nicely:

Confirmed:

DX  (for now Triple H and HBK) will be kicking off the show at 8PM. Possibility that previous DX members (Road Dogg? Mr. Ass? X-Pac? Chyna? Hornswoggle? The exhumed body of Rick Rude?) will also be there.

Brock Lesnar (and Paul Heyman) will be present to address Triple H's challenge for a match at SummerSlam, likely at the top of the show with DX.

John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship (Cena cashing in his MITB case).

Permanent general managers will be revealed for both RAW & Smackdown & Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.

AJ and Daniel Bryan's wedding.

The Rock returns to address his promise to go for the WWE title.

- Christian defends his intercontinental championship.
- Mick Foley and Bret Hart also confirmed to appear.
- Big Show, Dolph Ziggler (with briefcase tease), Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Kofi & R-Truth, Sheamus, Santino, Brodus Clay and others certain to be a big part of the show.
- Something with Heath Slater after weeks of getting his face bashed by legends.
- TOUT TOUT TOUT.

Other legends rumored for appearances: Roddy Piper, Sunny, Stone Cold, Ric Flair, Steve Blackman, Jim Ross.

Also, looks like the Charlie Sheen thing has been dropped as he said he was quitting twitter last week.

3 Hour Raw Commercial:

Feel free to speculate more below and I'll update as more things (if any) are announced/confirmed/rumored.

I might be wrong, but didn't JBL state a few weeks back that he was doing something with WWE?

If Steve Austin appears, he definitely going after Heath Slater.  You don't have 6-8 weeks of WWE legends return for a lame payoff.  Slater's getting at least 2 stunners and 4 beers poured on him.

Via Wrestling Inc, we learn that wrestler Val Venis will not be appearing in upcoming Raw SuperShow events due to the WWE's past support of SOPA and CISPA. According to a recent tweet, Val told one fan, "#WWE asked me to appear but I just cannot do anything with them for as long as they continue their support of #SOAP/#CISPA". While the WWE was never listed on the official Judiciary Committee list of supporters, the organization made many community sourced lists as a supporter of SOPA. Regardless of when and how the WWE came to be supportive of the unpopular bills, this shows that there is a long lasting bitter aftertaste left in the mouths of those who feel betrayed by organizations that supported SOPA and CISPA.

A porn star who doesn't support SOAP. That's nasty.

I remember reading the topic header somewhere that said "Val Venis NOT going to be on Raw 1000" and thinking who the fuck cares? Savio Vega won't be there either and no one "Reported" that. lol.

- There's speculation that the "big angle" Vince McMahon has been wanting will take place at the end of the 1,000th RAW episode on Monday. WWE has reportedly been working on something big for the summer, something similar to the Nexus and CM Punk angles from the past two years.

Wonder what the big thing will be this year.

Also anyone have any idea who the new GM will be? If i had to guess i would guess Big Johnny or Stone cold. they could also do what they did in 2003 with co GM's. Johnny could just take the spot of Bischoff.

Personally i would like to see Foley or JBL as GM but i don't know if JBL is still on his expedition or whatever he's doing.

I hope Bret hart is not the GM.

I've got a feeling Austin might be announced as GM as well, maybe co-GM with Heyman? Got to feel that they will do something big with Austin. There will also be a GM for Smackdown as well, so I think someone like Vickie or Ryder could take that.

I have to assume that Taker is going to make some kind of return for this episode, but I'm not sure what that could be. Depending on how they do the DX reunion, I wouldn't mind DX (Michaels and HHH) vs Taker or a triple threat at the next mania. I know most would probably want to see someone else have an opportunity against Taker, but I think they could get by with that one, although you've got to wonder how they could top that match if Taker wins; if it happens that is.

Vince somehow makes himself GM, but then the glass shatters, Stone Cold comes out and announces the board appointed him co-GM so Vince wouldn't get out of hand. Keeping with the theme, Teddy and Vickie are co-SD GMs.

It's gotta be Stone Cold right? I mean, he's the only big name they haven't talked about coming back for the show yet so if it's going to be a surprise it would make sense that it's this.

Also, Savio Vega not being there is heartbreaking to me.

I want Mick Foley to be the GM, fuck everyone else.

Thought if SCSA is the GM we can get Punk/SCSA interactions all the fucking time.

I hope this angle they are talking about involves Dean Abrose and some NXT talent.

Not sure how to post tout videos here but here's a link

TOUT | My thoughts on #Raw1000.....

Jericho saying he will be what people are talking about after Raw 1000. Makes me wonder what he's gonna do on the show.

I don't know. His announcements since he came back with the Save.us shit haven't really lead to anything.

I agree that it should be Mick Foley, but his "office" MUST be in odd places like it was when he was the WWF Commissioner. :D

- Vader
- Kelly Kelly
- Billy Gunn
- DDP
- Animal
- Mean Gene
- Sycho Sid
- Rikishi

Stone Cold as GM and Stone Cold/CM Punk feud will be the next big thing. Austin screws Punk out of title and abuses powers as GM setting up a match. Cena and The Rock feud for the WWE title.

The DX return seems fucking stupid seeing as HBK and HHH were reunited during the WM streak match.

They're probably bringing back old DX members like Road Dogg and Billy Gunn, so I don't see how it's stupid.
