*OFFICIAL* Raw Discussion Thread: June 25th 2012
« on: 25 June 2012, 09:27:50 PM »

This week on Raw, after being suspended for a controversial incident in Brazil, Chris Jericho returns to Raw. Jericho is credited with the creation of the Money in the Bank ladder match and with the pay-per-view of the same name coming up in a few weeks, he's sure to announce his intentions for the show. Will he once again challenge Sheamus for the World Heavyweight title? Will he rekindle his long rivalry with CM Punk over the WWE Title? Or will Chris Jericho try and prove that 4th time is lucky and announce himself into a Money in the Bank ladder match for the fourth time in his career? Never short of things to say, find out what Chris Jericho has in store this week on Raw Supershow!

Also on Raw

Last week, John Laurinaitis was officially removed from power of Raw. John Cena emphatically ended last week's show by applying the STF on Laurinaitis. What is next for WWE's main star? Will he continue his feud with the Big Show, who left John Laurinaitis on his own last week? Or will Cena turn his attention to the WWE title he hasn't held in over half a year? Speaking of the WWE Title, what is next for CM Punk? Recently, AJ has been attracting a lot of attention from all comers and it is still difficult to analyse her mindset. Will a new WWE title contender emerge for Money in the Bank? And what is next for Dolph Ziggler as he looks to become a big star in WWE? And finally, what repercussions will Triple H feel for his assault on Paul Heyman?

Cena tweeted he was going to make a historic announcement tonight. I wonder what it will be...Maybe a fake retirement? maybe Cena lost his smile? Or maybe he will challenge punk for the WWE title and if he loses he will retire? either way he's not really going to retire obviously, i just don't know what else they could do with this.

He could enter MitB, would make sense seeing as Big Show is in there.

MITB entry seems like the most likely option.
Much like you, we talk about wrestling. Just, in podcast form: ftwpodcast.com

I thought Raw was pretty good this week. Best show in a long time really since it has stunk as of late.

AJ Opening the show talking to herself i enjoyed, even got a "Crazy chick" chant.

The 3 way dance was good. not as good as the PPV match they had last week but i did like the result better. Bryan needed a win and he got it here.

Ziggler/Vickie/Del rio backstage stuff was good, Ziggler is really showing he has it in a lot of different ways.

from here on there was a lull

Show vs Clay was a disappointment, Mostly because of how it ended. Clay was unbeaten for months and months squashing the mid card and then his streak comes to an end just because his legs gives out and show falls on top of him? WTF? I totally expected more from this match.

We get a lot of video packages and recaps of last week and stuff and it just wasn't fun

Then Santino beat Swagger which wasn't good, i thought they may have Swagger win but no he loses like always and Santino stays US Champion. Ridiculous, not only should  Santino not be champion but Swagger should be used better than this.

From here on it got better.

Cena promo was great, then Jericho coming out was great too. Cena "Historic announcement" being MITB was such a let down. I liked how Jericho said "What are you gonna do? suspend me?"

Wasn't Jericho supposed to do some Fozzy Concert on Raw tonight?

Best part of the night was Sid coming out there. I'm glad i wasn't awake for this show because supposedly WWE spoiled it on Twitter. but when i heard 2 time world champ and Slater said "Ruler of the world" i knew who it was going to be and it was awesome seeing him for one night.

Ziggler vs Del Rio contract on a pole match was fun. i really liked the fighting over the contact after it fell off the pole. then we had sheamus come out and say arse and that he will be in a triple threat with both guys friday. then it just ended. i didn't like that.

Also we got some more "Let's go Ziggler" chants. :D

Diva battle royal was sort of fun. that swimwear was not sexy or anything like that but i gotta admit i liked seeing Vickie in this <3

Cena vs Jericho was alright, i never really liked their matches against eachother they just always seemed kind of boring and this was no different but still wasn't bad for a TV Match and a lot better than Cena vs Otunga or Johnny like we have gotten the last month or 2.

Crowed was really good throughout the night.

Overall the show was pretty good, enjoyed it more than i have any other Raw as of late and i thought Vickie did a great job as GM actually, i wouldn't mind seeing her back in a bigger role maybe as GM of SD?

Pretty much totally agree with Adam, one of the better RAWs in a while. Three good matches even though 2 of them had stupid endings, some good build and some fun stuff. Sid being back was almost as awesome as Vader, and I thoroughly enjoyed the battle royal. They actually haven't done something like this in a long time and it was a staple of the attitude era so I don't want to hear anyone bitching about fucking hot women in bikinis :P. Biggest disappointment was Brodus getting squashed, I get that show needs to go over but at least let them have a match. The Berty / Ziggler stuff got a little farcical at the end but it was fun.

Am I the only one who is now looking forward to how much more awful Slater can get? By far the most fun segments have involved him getting his ass kicked by legends. Plus the legends have been so great.

D'Lo Brown or riot!

Slater losing all the time and being made a fool of is hilarious and to be honest it might actually be a blessing in disguise and get him somewhere as he is fucking nailing the role. IMO he should win the US title, whatever happens Santino needs to lose it. Santino is consistently the worst part of Raw.

Del Rio/Ziggler stuff was fun to watch. I actually had the thought Cena would win the MITB the other day because it is one accolade he hasn't achieved and they could have him win. Perhaps Sheamus will go into that match therefore will lose the title? I want to see Ziggler win it.

Bryan getting a win was awesome.

D'Lo Brown or riot!

D'Lo works for TNA so that won't be happening. I think Scott Steiner could show up though.

Mean Street Posse or we riot?

Actually a Shane O' Mac appearance would be pretty fantastic.

I wasn't thinking it at all. If anything the only thing that it put in my mind was the memory of when they "fired" Miz and he came out in a mask and won a contract over i think it was Eugene.
