WWE MONEY IN THE BANK

Sunday, June 15, 2012 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
CM Punk (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
Special Guest Referee: AJ

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Sheamus (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
The Big Show vs. Kane vs. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Dolph Ziggler vs. Sin Cara vs. Tensai vs. Christian vs. Santino Marella vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Damien Sandow

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Pre:Show:
R-Truth & Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Camacho & Hunico

Here's my breakdown

Dolph Ziggler- Obviously deserves to be in the main event and it would be fun seeing him teasing the briefcase but seeing as he was just in a main event I can't help but think he can get to the main event on his own accord without the MITB. WWE just needs to push the guy full stop.

Kofi Kingston- Massively deserves this IMO. He's a staple of the midcard and has even tackled the tag division. He just needs that little push and a briefcase in his hand could further legitimise him. He might not be great on the mic but the fans love him and he has an original gimmick and heaps of ring skill.

Jack Swagger- A previous winner who has been down and out on his luck, the guy is quite obviously sound in the ring but he allegedly pissed off a lot of people on his title run with his arrogance. Still a win here could get him to that spot he was at.

The Miz- Similar story to Swagger, a MITB win will help him get back to where he was. But should the MITB be rewarded to fresh stars as opposed to ex-winners who could never remain in the main event?

Cody Rhodes- Along with Ziggler and Daniel Bryan, Rhodes has been the most improved superstar of the past year or so. After an excellent run with the IC title and some fantastic feuds Rhodes is ready to move to that next stage up. A star who has been slowly but solidly built and certainly has main event potential.

Alberto Del Rio- Already over and does not need this at all, I could see him being put in the match but he is already a certified main eventer and could win the title at any time without question.

Santino Marella- No

Damien Sandow- This is where Sandow can truly make a name for himself, but I think it is too soon. Perhaps next year.

Drew McIntyre- Has been buried to hell but this guy was a true force when he arrived in the business. He can talk, he can fight, he has the main event build. Could be a great twist.

Sin Cara- No, and not just no in the same way as Santino but FUCK NO!

Then we have injured people such as Ted DiBiase and Wade Barrett who could return and win. Your thoughts?

Swagger might deserve it but he won't get it, I don't expect him to ever come out of the mid card as I said in the Raw thread. Kofi isn't a main eventer IMO. Miz needs to be repackaged, another title push would be a waste right now. ADR already won it.

I think Cody is the best choice. He can do the most with it and use it to slow build.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Besides Dolph Ziggler, a Wade Barrett return, Sin Cara (sigh) and Cody Rhodes I can't see anyone else winning it on there. Swagger has been bitched out for too long, Kofi, Miz, McIntyre haven't done anything for about a year or 2 and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon, Santino won't happen they might tease it with him but that's about it. Sandow could enter it, dunno if he would win or not or if it would be good for him, I personally would like it, he can still have time to build his character for fans to get used to him without winning the title. Personally though, I would just go with one of the four I mentioned besides Sin Cara, who is obviously shit.

I was thinking Jericho might win one of the cases, I can see them giving one of the briefcases to someone already in the main event but I think they could do a nice storyline with it, similar to Punk a year prior actually. He's reported to be taking time off come Summerslam, he could win the briefcase at MitB and he could either take the briefcase with him for when he takes time off and stating he will cash it in when he returns, or he can cash the briefcase in for Summerslam and say his contract will be up by then and this will be his last chance to win the title or something.

Jericho winning and taking the case with him when he leaves so when he returns there is even more to intrigue us is a pretty brilliant, I just don't want to see it happen because i have found Jericho to be stale since his return.

Talk about Returns, more than anything i would like to see John Morrison Return at MITB and win it.

Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes are 2 guys i would like to see win it that has a chance.

Drew Mcintyre, Jack Swagger Zack Ryder, Tyson Kidd and kofi Kingston are 5 guys i would like to see win it but doesn't have a chance.

Alberto doesn't need it. Like Prax said Miz needs to be repackaged.

Few of guys that its too soon for but could win it in the future. Sandow, Ryback and Cesaro.

Wade Barret i think is the favorite to win one of the MITB matches. I just don't want him to because i find the guy very boring.

Let's not count out a Mark Henry return, i could see him winning, Same For Rey Mysterio.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Brodus Clay win. Might be shocked to see him climb a ladder but i could see him win.

Christian is already IC Champion so no for him.

I hope they don't have Otunga win it even though i could see him with a briefcase.

SantiNO

Tes Dibiase isn't main event level yet but i would like to see him return.

And then Sin Cara.... FML

Most likely to win

Wade Barret
Cody Rhodes
Dolph Ziggler
Sin Cara
Chris Jericho

Who i want to see win it
John Morrison
Dolph Ziggler
Kofi Kingston
Drew Mcintyre
Cody Rhodes

I don't expect these guys to even be involved.
John Cena
Big show
Kane
Daniel Bryan
CM Punk
Sheamus

The Problem i see is Cody Rhodes, Wade Barret and Dolph Ziggler are all 3 guys who can win it and are the favorites yet i don't see WWE giving both MITB wins to guys who are all on the same levele being upper mid card heels.

According to the WWE website, it appears as if WWE has changed the name of it's Money in the Bank Ladder matches.

In previous years, the Money in the Bank Ladder match was divided by brands, the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder match, and the Smackdown Money in the Bank Ladder match. WWE is now advertising the match as the "WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match" with The Big Show being listed as the first participant.

There are no other indications on whether there will just be one Money in the Bank match, or a if they plan to add a World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank match.

Hopefully we get 2 MITB matches and hopefully big show doesn't win either of them.

I hate Triple posting, come on people talk!

I figure this will be the MITB discussion so i just post here.

Daniel Bryan vs Punk should be great, I'm glad they got Kane out of the mix. He wasn't bad in it, I'd rather jus see these 2.

I figure Sheamus will either face Del Rio or Ziggler. i hope they don't end up doing the 3 way at the PPV because i want to see Ziggler win the world title MITB.

WWE Championship MITB i do not like at all. MITB is supposed to be about guys taking the next step and getting in the main event not guys that are already there staying there who can get a title shot anytime they want really. Plus only 4 guys? WTF? I hope we at least get a Miz and Rey Mysterio return since they are both former WWE Champions so this match could be somewhat interesting. I Guess if Alberto doesn't face sheamus he could get in this too but i don't see it happening.

This leaves the World title MITB wide when it comes to who's going to be in it. Obviously cody Rhodes, Christian and whoever isn't in the WHC match. Then i think Wade BArret will come back and likely win it but after that there are a lot of guys who could be in it or left out.

Sin Cara. Likely to be in it but wasn't on TV last week and may not be again this week.

Brodus Clay. May be selling an injury

Santino. could be out could be in, Just doesn't seem like a legit MITB contender to me.

Zack Ryder. should be in but probably won't be in.

Damien Sandow. Might be a bit too early to put him in.

Mark Henry. Recovering from injury but i remember hearing he was supposed to be cleared very soon.

Ted Dibiase. This ankle injury was only supposed to last a few weeks back in march, I don't know what the deal is if he's still hurt or they just don't have anything for him, but if he comes back i could see him in MITB.

Ryback. Probably won't be in the match and will just eat 3 guys on the PPV.

Albert. Hasn't done much as of late, probably won't be in it.

Khali. They seem to like throwing Khali into matches for no real reason oother than to piss off the IWC so i wouldnj't be shocked if he's in it.

Kofi Kingston. May be in it but likely in a tag title match

R Truth. Same as Kofi and of course if they are in the tag title match they will likely lose since Truth is hurt.

Antonio Cesaro. The most wishy washy push i have ever seen. He could start winning again and be in this or maybe we won't see him until november or something? i don't know.

Drew Mcintyre. Probab;y won't be in it but it was just 2 years ago when Drew was at his all time high and then after that MITB match he went straght down hill.

Jack Swagger. Constantly losing but constantly on the show. could be in it just to lose again.

David Otunga. they seem to like Otunga so i wouldn't be shocked to see him in this though i say keep him in backstage segments.

Heath Slater. Seems to be involved in some things right now, could be in the MITB i guess

It doesn't surprise me they have Jericho show etc in the RAW MitB, I think they are doing it so Punk doesn't lose to someone weak after the long reign he has had. Also see whoever it is winning it cashing in on the same night, which is a waste. Only person I want to see win the RAW MitB is Jericho, but I see Cena winning. Big Show I just don't want to see happen even though he has been alright with this heel turn, I would be 90% sure Kane won't win given he's already won it and they never seem to write anything for him. I agree though, 4 men seems really weak, hopefully they buck it up to 6 at least.

As for Punk, I want to see him drop the title to Bryan, Bryan deserves it and I think it would lead to a match at Summerslam where they can cap that whole feud off, even if it hasn't really built much lately.

I could see Show winning the MITB and then Bryan win the WWE title and show cashing in right after just like Bryan did on him last year. Plus WWE seeming loves sticking it to Bryan.

I have no problem with one MITB being former champions, if it means the other gets to be a proper one with a new guy winning. That said Cena pretty much needs to win it at this point.

This could be a way to get Miz back into the main event. A big win like this would legitimise him again and he is a former WWE champion. They might repackage and return him. Of course I only say this because WWE were seriously pro-Miz when he was champ and now he seems to have the relevance of Jack Swagger.

I want Cena to win the WWE title one, take the "noble" route and challenge Punk to a match at Mania, and then be the first one to lose his cash in.

I think having Jericho winning is a good move. He can win, then take his few months off to tour, and then come back and have instant heat. When he comes back, he'd just surprise everyone, take an opportunity and get the title. Maybe even off Punk, which would reignite their feud.

I thought he said he'd cash it in on the same night, he might make a noble entry if he does win MitB (which is more then likely tbh), rather then the cheap tactic of cashing in with CM Punk's back turned - I'd like to see Bryan win though to really establish himself.

- WWE announced last week that only former WWE Champions will be allowed to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a title shot at the WWE Title. John Cena, Big Show, Kane and Chris Jericho were announced for the match and WWE gave the impression that just those 4 Superstars would be participating in the match.

WWE is now teasing that more former WWE Champions may be added to the match and we may find out more names on tonight's RAW Supershow. They wrote:

"It was mandated last week that the WWE Title Contract Money in the Bank Ladder Match will only feature Superstars who have previously hoisted the WWE Championship itself. Thus far, John Cena, Big Show, Chris Jericho and Kane are the only competitors announced for the contest, but we’d be surprised if a former champion or two didn’t rear his head from an unexpected location and throw his hat (so to speak) into the mix."

Hopefully this means Miz and Mysterio will be added.

I guess Del Rio could be in it too but i expect him to face Sheamus at the PPV.

I haven't thought about it until now but we could have some legends come back for this. Mick Foley or Nash i could see coming back for it. Obviously the Rock probably won't be in it but he did say now he wants the WWE Championship so if he did come back in this it would make sense. Then of course Lesnar and Triple H which are unlikely beings they are in their own little storyline.

Anyone think JBL could come back for it?

JBL is an impossibility right now. Not w/ his extracurriculars going on. I did hear that Mysterio was returning this week. Miz, I'd love to see in it, and winning it.
