*OFFICIAL* RAW Discussion: June 18, 2012
« on: 18 June 2012, 08:51:51 PM »

Confirmed:

- John Lauranatis' farewell speech.
- Triple H and Vince likely in attendance.
- WWE Title Triple Threat fallout: AJ, Kane, Punk, Bryan.
- Will Vickie lose Swagger and Ziggler?
- Zack Ryder teased as RAW is in his home town.

Also, another former RAW superstar will be returning and it seems to be (spoiler):

Spoiler:
@RealKevinNash
Running Raw tomorrow night, going to be epic

----------------

Johnny needs to pull a George Costanza and pretend like he didn't get fired.

That person returning sounds like they're going to "GM" the show, which is 1000x better than them wrestling. Hopefully they give a match to another former RAW talent and one of their friends.

Hopefully they give Bryan a new feud. As much as I want to see more Bryan/Punk, no good for him to continuously lose title matches and I wouldn't mind seeing Kane vs. Punk at the next PPV.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I really hope they drop everything they have been doing and flip raw around completely because i have been bored out of my mind with everything that doesn't involve Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan.

And for the love of god can we get that US Title off of Santino now? if you're going to have him in comedy feuds with ring announcers at least let someone else wrestle for the US Title.

I wonder if they will announce the participates for MITB tonight,

Raw was shit.
Pretty much agree, aside from HHH and Heyman segment, RAW was atrocious.

The Piper segment was horrible to watch and predictable, it only needed to be about 3 minutes or something, instead it was dragged on for about 10-20 minutes. Heath Slater was alright but come on why do I want to see this shit. Its some drugged up has been whose CD won't fetch any sales from WWE audience so what's the fucking point. I got the impression the CD frame wasn't meant to be smashed either.

Sheamus Punk vs Bryan Kane seen it before and hardly developed anything. Pointless.

No Ryder considering it was his home town and the crowd wanted it AND it was teased beforehand, harsh on the fans who obviously wanted him to come out and were told he would. Get a grip WWE and don't toy your fans like that, I don't get their massive problem with Ryder, makes no sense at all, he doesn't need to be main eventing but he should get on the show and should hang around the mid card.

Laurinaitis being made to look a fool, I didn't see that coming...

Santino vs Del Rio, so Del Rio is in a match here but couldn't compete last night, I'm confused, and why is he toiling with Santino, why are they continuing this terrible RR and Santino feud.

Swagger and Ziggler stuff was decent, as was the tag team segment, but nothing great and got to wonder where Swagger goes from here, I feel like he needs Vickie a lot more then Ziggler.

Seeing Foley was decent but I was confused that he was GM for the night and made one appearance. Got to think that the anonymous GM will appear over the next couple of weeks as well and they will finally tie that one up.

RAW was just generally pointless, glad Jericho's back next week but with the current direction I wouldn't be surprised if his return boils down to a dance off with Hornswoggle.

Agreed with JD.

Foley being there was nothing more than a cheap pop. They couldn't let him give a little spotlight to his fellow Long Island native Ryder?

Everything with Johnny was hard to watch. I've loved him so far but tonight it didn't work, it's just the same shit over and over again, except this time he was written off. Even the match at the end was ridiculous. It was essentially Otunga vs. Cena, because, you know, we haven't seen that 1000 times before.

Tag match = didn't give a fuck and it was literally the exact same fucking ending for every Bryan/Punk/Kane match the last month except fucking Sheamus was there for some reason.

Like Chappers said the Piper segment went on too long but the crowd was really disrespectful, and the announcers were even worse. It wasn't that great to watch but they were booing everyone not named Piper before they even got in the ring. Show some class. Slater was pretty funny though.

Santino vs. Berto... pointless.

PTP vs. PERM... pointless.

Triple H promo with Heyman was okay, slow build.

Ziggler vs. Swagger was the only decent thing all show.

That said, AJ as Kane was fucking amazing. I'm shotgunning it as my next GIF :P

Anyone else find it odd that Del Rio wrestled tonight? So he wasn't cleared to wrestle by 1 day? I can't help but think something is fishy there.

Ziggler vs Swagger was good though to be fair, crowed was fully behind Ziggler here and that was great. I didn't like how he stayed with Vickie after the match, that wouldhave been the perfect time for him to drop Vickie and say he's better than her and swagger and he could turn face because WWE is in need of some more upper talent faces right now.

No Ryder really pissed me off. it's his home town and everyone wanted to see it but they just ignored the fans and acted like he didn't even wrestle for WWE. really a dick move by WWE that they don't put Ryder in anything yet they waste all this time on these old ladies that no one cares about in one of the worst segments ever even if Slater was good in it.

But with Ryder it's like they pushed him only to get fans to shut up about him then they used him and his fan support to try to get Cena more over and then they buried him and acted like he never happened. i figure they think no one will care after this week and it will be no big deal but the fact of the matter is the guy deserves to be on TV every week he's super over and entertaining.

I like seeing Foley but if its just for a couple of nights then we don't see him for another year what good is it?

Punk/Sheamus/Bryan/Kane was the same old stuff really just added sheamus to do what he always does and win.

Tag teams did nothing. these 2 teams are the worst teams in the WWE and they are the ones who get pushed. makes no sense. Gabriel & Kidd, Hawkins & Reks and The Uso's are all way better than these 2 teams.

Everything to do with Cena/Otunga/Johnny/Show was pure shit. People tuned in expecting change and we did not get that at all really.

Triple H/Heyman stuff was pretty good. a lot better than the Triple H segment from the PPV.

This Raw made me look forward to TNA This week which has been really good lately.

It's possible that he doesn't have a concussion and they were only playing it safe. he could have been cleared over the weekend but they already switched the match?

IMO swagger's never going to bust out of the mid card. Ziggler could pull off a face turn so maybe they could build to that instead.

I'm not justifying it obviously, but he beat Drew on Superstars and apparently they did a WWE.com bit with him about how he was left off.

A Win on Superstars is pretty much a win on a live event at this point. no one watches that show and i think even less watch the videos WWE.com puts up. So yeah the crowed got to see Ryder in action but they all knew it didn't mean anything.
