*OFFICIAL* Raw Discussion Thread: May 7 2012
« on: 7 May 2012, 06:02:51 PM »

Last week on Raw, Brock Lesnar, fresh off a defeat at the hands of John Cena at Extreme Rules, unleashed his frustration on the COO of WWE, Triple H. After locking Triple H in the deadly Kimura Lock, the King of Kings reportedly suffered a broken arm. By causing so much damage to such an important figure in the company, expect to see Lesnar face some severe consequences unless John Laurinaitis can somehow persuade the WWE hierarchy differently.

Also on Raw

Last week, John Laurinaitis announced John Cena's opponent for Over the Limit: John Laurinaitis himself. Even with an injured arm, surely Laurinaitis cannot expect to beat Cena but it is likely that the General Manager of Raw and Smackdown will have something up his sleeve. Also last week, we found out that CM Punk's next challenger for the WWE Title will be someone he's very familiar with: the former World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. What will happen between these two former friends? Also last week, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston won the tag team titles. Will new challengers step up, or will Epico and Primo get a return match? Find out all this and more on Raw Supershow ...

This week should be great to watch, considering Punk and Bryan know how to make a storyline great and worth watching. As for Punk/ Ace thing, we will see if gets hot and heavy, and possible Latino Freebirds stable to be made, came up with that name, seeing the Colons look on on Hunico.Let's not forget hello...Jericho is on Raw, who will get to beat up?

Very interested to see where the Big Johnny/Cena stuff and Triple H/Bork stuff go. Hopefully we'll get a good tag match from the new champs and some good Punk/Bryan development.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I'm interested to see where Jericho goes from here. im hoping for a feud with Orton.

Hoping Ziggler and Ryder make the show and get involved in some storyline

Maybe Santino can start a feud for the US title or lose either works.

Looking forward to seeing the Punk vs Bryan stuff.

When Paul Heyman said "and I quote"...pause...I have a feeling we will get a Lesnar-Big Johnny feud in a few months where it's revealed Heyman was the anonymous GM.   It brings closure to something that's been forgotten about and is a cool tie in to current events.

I definitely thought the way he said it was weird, the way he shiftily looked around when he did. Plus I can buy Heyman as someone in that role. I marked in such a weird for Heyman too. Like, "No fucking way" kind of marking.

Heyman killed that promo, they should have had him with Brock since the start of this return.

Didn't like that Albert beat CM Punk. I've stated why i don't like this guy or this guys gimmick getting pushed so i'll move on.

I feel Miz should have Beat Clay, i felt like the Miz needed it and i don't think Clay has to win every match.

Glad Ziggler won a match looks like he and Swagger will be in line for a tag title shot at the PPV and im hoping they win them.

Looks like Mason Ryan is going to be a part of All World with Epico & Primo. So far it's a really lame stable i don't like anyone in it other than Rosa. So much good talent not being used on the roster and they chose these 3?

Really liked the Orton/Sheamus vs Jericho/Del Rio tag match. I would prefer they did Orton vs Jerico no 1 contenders match and just keep Del Rio vs Sheamus but the fatal 4 way should be great.

Cody/Show/Eve stuff was okay but i really wish they would just move on from this feud and all mania or pre mania feuds at this point. get Cody a new feud going for that IC title and let show go put over another young guy in a feud.

Cena had a pretty good promo.

Punk/Johnny stuff was alright. i never really enjoyed their stuff as much as some.

No Ryder & Santino. They do get wins on Superstars but i hope they get on SD and hopefully get involved in some storyline. Maybe Santino can feud with Antonio Cesaro?

Miz has been losing for months and he's going to get a win against the undefeated Brodus Clay? If you build a streak like the one's Clay's on you don't have The Miz break it. I used to be for Miz's status but now I'm absolutely sick of him. He comes out, cuts the exact same fucking promo every time ("Really? I'm facing THIS guy?"), grimaces at the crowd and loses. I think he's better than that but he needs to clean up his gimmick. I definitely wouldn't put him over Clay, who they're slow building. He should lose once in a while but not to the guy that's half his size and can't buy a win that doesn't come in a 12 man tag or against the Italian comedy gimmick.

I'm not one to analyze other men's bodies, but I noticed during the match with Brodus that Miz kinda looks out of shape compared to the WWE standard of "in shape" for the lean looking wrestler.  I haven't really seen Miz much these last few weeks and he looked more "doughy" than usual.  I wonder if he's getting tired of this doghouse house stuff himself and is looking for a way out.  The problem for Miz is that I don't think he has many other options than crawling back to MTV and getting a hosting job.

I marked for Heyman, but sadly the crowd was dead for it. An ECW chant was barely audible, but I got the impression that the rest didn't even know who he was - even after introducing himself.

I think Paul Heyman and John Laurinaitis were the only decent part of an otherwise average RAW. No Cena and no Brock hurt the show imo.

I thought the tag match was pretty good. Orton hitting the RKO on Sheamus was a decent moment as I get sick of the 'faces sticking together.' Fatal four way should be good. Paul Heyman was good and Ziggler getting a win was cool.
