*OFFICIAL* Raw Discussion Thread: April 9th 2012
« on: 9 April 2012, 03:16:34 PM »
Last week, one of the most dominant wrestlers in WWE returned with a big impact. Brock Lesnar came back to the WWE after an 8 year absence and straight away sent a message to John Cena and the entire WWE by delivering the F-5 to Cena. Lesnar was around for just two years between 2002 and 2004, but in that short time he established himself as the number one wrestler in WWE and one of the most dominant superstars ever. Despite an extended absence, the Miami crowd were delighted to see Lesnar's return and so was John Cena ... until Lesnar attacked him. What will the fallout from this confrontation be this week on Raw? Will we see Lesnar on TV again this week, and will he have anything to say about his return and his attack on John Cena?

Also on Raw

Last week, CM Punk narrowly escaped with his WWE title after losing via countout to the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. If that wasn't enough, Chris Jericho assaulted him after the match, pouring alcohol over him and smashing a bottle over his head. With at least two wrestlers vying for a WWE Championship match at Extreme Rules in 3 weeks and Chris Jericho once again taking their rivalry to new heights, what is next for CM Punk? This past week has been a bad one for the members of Team Teddy: Santino and R-Truth have both been put in tough matches as punishment by John Laurinaitis. What plans does the new General Manager of Raw and SmackDown have for this week? Also expect to see an appearance from the mysterious Lord Tensai, who debuted last week, defeating Alex Riley easily.

What a Raw to come, tune in for Raw suckas! By the way, everytime I do a Raw Dicussion thread, I cause chaos, that's a good thing, making people want to  post more.

You're all probably going to be haters about the Three Stooges stuff, but Will Sasso's Hogan impression was epic, and he took a pretty good chokeslam. Not enough to make me want to see the movie but they did a good job with their characters.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Though I didn't particularly care for the Three Stooges, I do have to admit that the Hogan impression did sound accurate, and that the guy has to be given credit for taking the chokeslam.

He's had wrestling training apparently. When he was on Mad TV I remember he did a couple spots with Bret Hart in his WCW days.

I couldn't help but think of the three blokes in the ferrari cake south park episode, although I wouldn't be surprised to find out that South Park had those guys in that episode as a play on the original three stooges.

Brawl at the start of the show was good, Seeing Cena bleed was kind of weird so used to seeing no blood in WWE now. Surprised that Cena vs Lesnar will take place at ER but I guess its the best thing rather then dragging that feud to Summerslam, gives Lesnar a chance to face some other faces once he's done with Cena.

Punk and jericho feud is getting better and better each week, this could be one of the best feuds in recent history if they continue it, a shame how overlooked its getting..

Mark Henry push is good but I can't see him getting thrown into a match with Punk come ER, but they are doing a good job of building Henry up.

Still not completely digging Lord Tensai tbh, he just seems a bit sluggish around the ring, I like his little companion though that does nothing but stare at the floor. I just need to see why this guy should amaze me and haven't really seen it yet. He looks so much fatter then he used to, kind of has umagas build now when he never used to be like that.

Big Show's mock of Cody Rhodes ran its course about a week ago, I dunno why he is still showing that same video, alright the first time but bored of it now, he's done it like 3 times I think as well.

David Otunga's poses in the main event were amazing, not surprised he lost although it would have been nice if Lesnar cost Cena the match in some way, doesn't matter though as Otunga is getting enough spotlight as Laurinaitis's assistant, I feel like they should do something with him fairly soon though.

Laurinaitis's treatment of Teddy backstage is awesome, I want to see more of this though.

Overall this RAW had nothing on last weeks, still good but I feel it could have been better.

Cena vs Lesnar brawl to start the show, wow epic.I said to my Dad and Brother, when Brock threw in that shot, I said ''what the fuck did Brock forget this isn't the UFC''.I know Lesnar and Cena didn't like each other when Brock was there, Brock considered Cena sloppy, and he purposely mess up moves against Cena, to show he wasn't a good Wrestler.I love to see Cena get his ass kicked, and their feud should be great to see in the coming weeks.I wonder Brock vs Cena, Last man Standing Match? Henry getting a little push again, good for him, I wouldn't be surprised if Jericho helps Punk lose his WWE Title to further the feud with Jericho and Punk. You see I have Parents that drink, and I go through the urges to drink, but flashes of what it will do to you, goes through my mind, which is why I am straight edge for life! Chappers I feel the same way about A-Train the WWE Fans knows it's him this gimmick is boring, even though Albert is a better Wrestler now then before. If Albert speaks Japanese that would work, and also that mist, make it green or red.He looks like the fat Great Muta when he comes out!The Three Stooges thing was ok, Sasso can also do a awesome Austin impersonation! Good for Otunga to get in a Main Event match for Raw, plenty of people jealous I bet, what a year in WWE, and what two Main Event matches, I like the potential he has, just to put it together with a skills in the Ring. Two solid Raws in a row, 7.5 out of 10.

Loved the Cena vs Lesnar brawl at the beginning. Cena's busted mouth helped this too. not sure i like Brock talking already.

Clay & Santino beat Ziggler & Swagger...again. all they ever do is have ziggs & Swags lose. hell if you're gonna have a tag team feud at least put the titles on on of the teams....meh

Truth over cody was alright nothing special and honestly the win does nothing for truth like kofi's win did nothing for him last week. all about show vs cody.

Lord...whatever. Albert once again bored me this week. still not buying this and i don't think the fans are either with the taunting "Ablllllbeeeert" chants.

CM Punk's promo was great but im just not really liking this direction fo the feud. kind of reminds me when jericho and HBK's feud took a serious turn and they were just brawling for a while and i didn't like that.

Not sure i get what's going on with Mark Henry. he beats Punk every week somehow. does he get the shot at the PPV? or does Jericho? and no Abraham washington...or "AW" wonder if they scrapped those plans.

Much like last week with Ryder jobbing to the Miz in a short time he jobs to Del rio in a short time. meh.

Three stooges i didn't mind that much. i thought they were kind of funny and entertaining. Always liked Sasso. i remember when he was dressed up like Austin and got stunned.

Cena vs Otunga was bad. a joke for a main event. Lesnar F%ing Cena after was okay but nothing special.

Overall a meh raw with a good opening.

Didn't like this show, the opening brawl was okay mind. Everything else minus Jericho and Punk felt flat. The Stooges stuff pissed me off. Big Show/Rhodes is an interesting one because it is the first time the young talent has put over the older talent. This feud has helped Big Show a lot in being seen as more valid and less of a joke so kudos to Rhodes for that, just hope he doesn't lose his own momentum and these cheap losses need to stop. Cena/Otunga was alright, love Otunga's poses.

I liked the brawl (one of the best I've seen in a long while), I liked the Three Stooges stuff, I liked JeriPunk, most of everything else fell kinda flat.
