San Andreas was 3 cities but it still didn't make much sense seeing as California has more than 3 cities lol. I picture it being like part of SoCal, LA as a city is 4 million people but the surrounding areas brings it up to 10. Hollywood, Malibu, etc etc, they can easily make it the "greater" LA area plus surrounding mountains and plains and woods.

One thing I just thought of, if they're going jto have mount chilliad, they should have skiing mini-missions D:

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Does anyone remember the mountain bike missions? Most annoying races ever in a game lol, seriously hard stuff those.

The biking did kind of suck after awhile but I did love basejumping off the damn mountain cliffs only to pull the chute before hitting the ground.  The first time I did that... I nearly cried from the epicness.

Chances they'll bring back the Harrier?  If they do bring planes into the equation, then all I ask is that they force the player to go through some sort of flying school to make it realistic to how your character can fly any and all aircraft.

Yeah the harriers have to come back like they were before with VTOL, so many games ignore that one aspect that really makes the harriers that much more exciting to play in, i wouldn't mind seeing the bikes come back as well.

Ahh finally some kind of news on GTA V, even if it is a rumour. Sounds good though if all of that is included, if its true the 360 version is definitely going on multiple discs, at least 3 maybe 4 depending on the amount of content. Some of the ideas seemed out of the box but things which have been in my mind for a while, seems kind of cool with the radios, I guess there will be new mechanics for the wanted level system, don't mind that though. I like the idea of the character being mexican, the guy in bogt was the best character from the gta 4 stories, hopefully he will be somewhat similar, if a little different.

Two new screens:

Plus Rockstar commenting on why they don't release much information on their games:

Quote
As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don't do this because we ‘don't care about our fans' 'don't respect our fans' 'hate GTA fans etc' – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it. The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet. We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you… it's not much, but we thought it was pretty fun.

It's amazing how much publicity Rockstar can get from just 3 screenshots! At least we know Cycling and Planes are back!

Yeah, I think this is the one game I am genuinely hyped for. I honestly feel that besides a few other titles and ignoring online play, video games have been on the wane this generation.

Don't know what your talking about. These past 2 years have been amazing for video games. If you can look passed the 1st person shooter obsession it's actually been a really great time for games in multiple different sectors. Action/adventure, puzzle, indie games, the industry is sort of booming.

It's only now starting to slow as everyone's sort of waiting for each other to announce the next gen of consoles.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I Think it's just what people generally say.  People always say "well back in my day this was better" or nothing ever seems as good as it was the year before.

But as for this year it does seem a little lacking. but Borderlands 2 is coming out next month and that is really all i need.

I'm not saying that games are terrible, I'm just saying that in comparison to last generation they've gone downhill a bit. There has been vital improvements, but that's the nature of the video game business; with better technology, more can be achieved. However, I feel like a lot of games rarely fulfil the potential I believe they can have. Take Splinter Cell for example, last generation I felt like I always got my money's worth with those games, they were challenging single player games with a strong storyline and required dedication to complete. Even though Splinter Cell games on this generation have been good, they haven't been great and they are considerably shorter to the games from last generation. It might just be that games have lowered their difficulty, but I still feel like I get short changed more often then I did last generation; DLC hasn't helped this either.

Mass Effect 3
Max Payne 3
Diablo 3
Starhawk
Journey
SSX
Twisted Metal
Kingdoms of Amalur
Fez
Loads of 3DS and Vita games.

That's just so far. In the fall we have Borderlands, Playstation All-Stars, Injustice Gods Among Us, Assassin's Creed 3, Hitman, Wii U and all the games going with it, Halo 4, next COD, WWE 13, etc etc.

It's been and will be a great year, I don't know what you guys are talking about.

I don't know what to say other than that I utterly disagree. You mentioned Splinter Cell, well, there are a million franchises that go the other direction in terms of quality. Uncharted? Infamous? Battlefield? Assassin's Creed? Bioshock? Mass Effect? Elder Scrolls? Just to name a very small amount of franchises that have been great or amazing this generation. I don't see how length is really a valid argument, you have RPGs that are like 50 hours or longer, and shorter experiences as well. It's always been like that. I've never heard anyone complaining about how a lot of the Mario or Sonic games are short experiences. I agree that some companies take DLC a little too far but I don't think that's hurt the generation as much as people have said. I think people just like to complain about how games are expensive but they've always been expensive relative to what's considered expensive in their time. NES games cost just as much as console games cost now. Chrono Trigger cost like 100 bucks when it came out.

I really don't understand the complaint. Maybe you just got better at games? I was shit at games when I was a kid lol

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Maybe it's just i don't have a lot of interest in what has came out and what's coming out this year.

Quote
Mass Effect 3

Big game but i have no interest.

Quote
Max Payne 3

Big release + a great game. all around home run.

Quote
Diablo 3

My PC can't play it so no interest.

Quote
Starhawk

Never heard of it.

Quote
Journey

I feel like this came out last summer. i played it and didn't like it.

Quote
SSX

Played the demo and didn't like it.

Quote
Twisted Metal

Played the demo and hated it.

Quote
Kingdoms of Amalur

Good game but not a big release.

Quote
Fez

Decent little arcade game.

Quote
Loads of 3DS and Vita games.

Handheld is not my thing.

Quote
Borderlands 2

Like i said this is all i really need this year. the first Borderlands is one of the best games ever,

Quote
Playstation All-Stars,

Meh.

Quote
Injustice Gods Among Us,

Never heard of it.

Quote
Assassin's Creed 3,

Still haven't beat brotherhood. lol. so not really hyped for this.

Quote
Hitman,

No interest. never played a hitman game.

Quote
Wii U and all the games going with it,

Won't be getting it so it's nothing for me.

Quote
Halo 4,

Big time game just no excited for another Halo game.

Quote
Black Ops 2.

I'm looking forward to it but to be honest they come out with one every year so it's kind of a given at this point.

Quote
WWE 13.

After playing last years WWE game i am not looking forward to this one at all.

Some others coming out you didn't mention

Quote
Resident Evil 6

is another one coming out this year you left out. I think besides BL2 im looking forward to this one the most.

Quote
Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Not a fan of NFS games but loved Burnout games and i heard the people who made burnout are working on this so i will probably give it a chance.

Quote
Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Didn't really like the last MOH game. will probably end up playing it sometime next year.

Quote
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

Never did play the first one but this one will be coming out for both PS3 and 360 so im looking forward to playing it.

Quote
Dishonored

Looks pretty good.

So yeah i would say this year is a good year for games but i wouldn't say it's an amazing year for them like i feel like we have had the last few years. plus like i said a lot of them I'm just not interested in personally.

Some others that came out this year that i liked or have interest in playing.

Minecraft (360)
The Witcher 2 (360)
Darksiders 2
Sleeping Dogs
Amazing Spider-Man
