Smackdown! SPOILERS: 9/14/11

[Fluttershy]

* Edge opens Edge Appreciation tonight and gets a monster ovation fro the Toronto crowd. Edge says it feels good to be back home. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes interrupts Edge and runs him down, then talking about his victory over Randy Orton on RAW. Cody gives Edge a brown paper bag but he gives it right back. Edge says Cody should put the bag over all of SmackDown and leaves.

* Cody leaves the ring and goes to hand the bags out to the fans but gets decked by Ted DiBiase, who is planted in the crowd as a fan.

* Daniel Bryan beat "The New" Sin Cara (formerly Hunico from FCW) by DQ after Cara wouldn’t stop beating Bryan down in the corner. After the match, the original Sin Cara (formerly Mistico) made his return to WWE. He came down to the ring and The two had a staredown.

* Backstage segment with Teddy Long and Zack Ryder. Ryder has instituted a no contact order for Randy Orton and Mark Henry tonight. Aksana comes in and gets Teddy to give her a massage. This brings in Trish Stratus, who needs to talk with Teddy.

* Beth Phoenix defeated AJ Lee. She cuts a promo after the match and says she will save the Divas division after beating Kelly Kelly at Night of Champions.

* Vignette for Sheamus

* Trish Stratus and Edge are backstage when Christian walks in. He apologizes to Edge for SummerSlam and they hug. Edge says what he said before about Christian needs to stop whining. Zack Ryder comes in and tells Edge that his guests tonight have a no contact order.

* Sheamus and Justin Gabriel beat Wade Barrett and Christian.

* The Great Khali beat Heath Slater by DQ after Jinder Mahal came out and attacked Khali. Khali ended up chokeslamming both men.

* R-Truth beat Evan Bourne while The Miz and Kofi Kingston were on commentary.

* Edge comes out for The Cutting Edge and introduces Mark Henry and Randy Orton. They talk about Night of Champions and Edge thinks Henry has had a disappointing WWE career. This doesn’t sit well with Henry but he agrees. Edge also wonders if Orton can beat Henry but Orton is sure of it. Henry says it’s his time to get the World Title and that ends The Cutting Edge. The no contact order is now over so they start to brawl. Henry lays Orton out with a pair of World’s Strongest Slams and poses with the World Title to end the show.

The timing of the Edge stuff is weird right before a PPV but it's in Toronto so what are are you going to do. It'll be good to see him back.  After the show went off the air they had a "celebration" of sorts:

After last night's WWE Smackdown taping, Trish Stratus showed a slide show of Edge highlights on the TitanTron. After that, Christian came out, and spoke about him and Edge being like brothers. Christian then brought out Edge's mother, and then Rhino, and then Steve Hutchison. The last man to come out was Bret "The Hitman" Hart. This was the end of the show, with all of them in the ring with Edge.

As for the show, looks decent. Typical Orton/Henry build.

Cody promo with Edge looks good but I don't know where they're going with him for Sunday.

REALLY happy they're doing Cara vs. Cara but this means Mistico is back and that's a bad thing lol, and Bryan gets a beatdown again.

Tag match should be good with Sheamus/Gabriel vs. Barrett/Christian. I think that elevates Gabriel just being there.

Looking forward to Truth vs. Bourne.

YEah the edge stuff is weird and you would think he and christian would have more going on with eachother looks like an okay show though.

Sheamus/Gabriel vs Barret/Christian could be good.
Kahli vs Slater IDGAF about.
Cody/Ted build i like. if they don't give them a match at NOC i will be mad.
the other side of air boom loses this time. i guess that means they gotta win sunday. would have like to see at least one of the air boom guys win this week.
Orton/Henry build is what it is.
Not enough Zack Ryder.

Of courtse the big thing coming out of this is Sin Cara vs Sin Cara. thinking about it I'm glad they did this and the orginal can come back. it's not like Hunico was THAT much better than Mistico as Sin Cara, and with Hunico winning as sin cara agaiant WWE talent i think they got to keep him around after the sin cara vs sin cara feud. hopefully mistico will come back and do better than he did his first time around but i doubt it. 

Oh and Daniel Bryan WINS....via DQ due to him getting his ass kicked by Hunico....

So they are keeping Mistico around then!
What will happen after this feud though? As there can't permanently be two Sin Cara's. I guess later the heel Cara will change his name and perhaps have a black costume or something but then there are still two power rangers running around the WWE.
And I would have preferred it if Mistico distracted Hunico so Bryan got the win rather than Bryan winning by DQ.

Edge returning is cool because I like Edge and I think the promo with Rhodes sounds awesome. The backstage stuff with Christian seemed a bit weird (do you think they will turn Christian back to a face midcarder now and the climax of his career is over?)

I get the feeling Henry will win the title, perhaps not at this PPV but certainly at some stage within this feud. Despite not being a huge fan of the guy he has worked hard for years and the only two titles he has ever won are extinct (ECW and European.)
This is definitely the peak of Henry's career, he has had tons of mini builds that have ended up going nowhere and I feel if they don't capitalise on him within this feud then he will never be able to win a world title or be built up again.

I'm hoping that they use this to have Mistico put on a different costume down the line. We've all said that the mask seems to be the issue, so maybe they're doing this to excuse him changing?
