Welll I guess Canada's medal count wasn't so bad after all. 26 total medals, 14 gold medals (a winter olympics record) and a bunch of 4th-5th place finishes. Those guys finishing 4th and 5th in a lot of sports are very young, and will be there in Sochi and beyond. Really exciting to be a Canadian right now and I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle this success going into London in 2012.

Whatever was said in this thread, good job USA, you certainly surpassed my expectations in the hockey tournament and a silver medal when the odds were stacked against you is nothing to be ashamed of.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

From what i heard the Final was so fitting. for the way the whole tourney went, ending in OT with the best player right now ending it.

Crosby's the man. I love Ovechkin and his style is thoroughly entertaining, but Crosby is a winner at every level of the sport.

I've been invited to a National Hate Sidney Crosby Day (on February 28, 2011, the 1 year anniversary of the game) on Facebook along with at least 20,000 other people so far.  I put 'Maybe Attending.'

According to the preliminary metered market data, the gold  medal game that aired yesterday afternoon scored a 17.6 household  rating, that means it was on in more than 20 million homes.  Given that  more than one person per household watches it could eclipse 25 million  viewers if the preliminary household ratings hold up.

The 17.6 rating is 44 percent higher than the Torino games  in 2006.  And if it comes in around 25 million viewers that would be  nearly 50% better than the 17.1 million who watched USA vs. Canada play  in the Salt Lake City men

*FOOTBALL
I can't wait, i have never been looking forward to a World Cup this much like ever !
I get my hopes up every year but England really have a good chance of winning this year after an impressive qualifying campaign.

I find it really weird how i know absolutely nothing about hockey and all these players, the sport just does not appeal to me !
