Brock Lesnar -- the UFC Heavyweight Champ -- is in "bad shape" according to UFC president Dana White and won't be fighting anytime soon. White made the announcement after UFC 105 last night, saying "He's in a hospital up in North Dakota somewhere right now. He went to Canada and some bad stuff happened to him, so we've got to figure it out ... He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon."Lesnar originally pulled out of a November 18 fight and reports suggested he had swine flu. The fight was rescheduled for January 2, but then it was announced Lesnar had mononucleosis. But White made it clear, Lesnar's problems go beyond mono: "He is not good. latest from observer.com:Dana White, in an interview with TMZ.com today, said that Brock Lesnar is being brought to the Mayo Clinic and will require major surgery. White wouldn't specify exactly what was wrong with him other than ruling out cancer, and saying that he has an intestinal disorder.White said he will attempt to get Lesnar, 32, transfered to the Mayo Clininc in Rochester, MN. He is currently hospitalized in North Dakota.White said there was a "possibility" that Lesnar's career is over.
The Mayo Clinic is serious business. They specialize in cancer treatment so we can only hope that isn't the case. My father was in and out of there for the last 6-7 years treating his liver cancer so I know first hand that ain't no joke to have to go there for any kind of treatment. Then again being a millionaire, maybe he just wanted the best treatment available.
