1... Lat nights show gave me more respect from Kimbo then I already had. They guys speaks well and he seems rather smart. He isn't this big internet moron who goes out in the street and fights. He has shed that mystic.

2.. Nelson is someone I respect alot. The guy makes his own matches, gets his own endorsement deals, trains at his house and all that stuff. He is a self made fighter and I appreciate that a whole lot.

3... That fight last night was subpar. Kimbo was out classed but thats was his 5th match ever? While that was Nelson's 17th and it showed. Kimbo didn't look that bad and Rampage knew that if Nelson put his belly on Slice that it'd be hard to comeback and thats what happened.

4.. IN the 2nd round Kimbo caught Roy with a nice righ that had Roy dazed. If Kimbo was a grizzled veteran he would have known to take him down right there and ground and pound him. But he didn't..

5... The stoppage was weak. Like Dana said it was no diffrent then letting his 8yr old daughter pin him down and punch him in the head. Nelsons blows were weak and werent hurting Kimbo but at the same time Kimbo couldn't defend himself so it had to be stopped.

6... With that said Nelson looked bush league celebrating. I still like the guy but he should have dominated and he didn't. If he were to clam into a UFC cage right now with a top heavy he is fucked and would get blasted. He needs to calmdown..

To be fair it seem the fight was stopped really early so there isn't much to see there.

Griffin vs. Ortiz at 106. Griffin needs to own Ortiz after being made to look like a fool by Silva and I have a feeling Dana set it up this way, considering how he feels about Tito lol.

107 we talked about in the TUF thread but 108 is also stacked. I guess Rampage quitting actually worked out pretty well. Silva vs. Belfort (Belfort's going to get owned), Evans vs. Silva (evans is going to look to let off some steam on Silva after all the shit he went through with Rampage for nothing), Gongaza vs. Dos Santos.... not too shabby.

Plus GSP should be back soon after 108 so that's something to look forward to as well.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Griffin is going to fuck up Ortiz. Their first fight should have went to a 4th round he he showed so much emotion in that match. I really cannot wait for this fight. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW.

Totally agreed. I'm still convinced Griffin threw the fight against Silva, and now Dana's giving him Failtiz to make up.

Cannon, that's badass.

As for Shogun vs. Machida... I agree with what Mike Goldberg said late in the fight. "To be the champion you have to beat the champion" and Shogun didn't beat the champion. He won a fight, but he didn't beat anyone. Either way, it was a really close fight and I heard different judges gave different rounds to different fighters. Shogun landed some stiff kicks and the punches that he landed were hard, but he didn't beat Machida. If it wasn't a title fight he would have won, but Machida shouldn't have lost his title over that fight.

As for the rest of the card, it was ok but nothing special, Surprised Rothwell got owned.

Ok... I just watched Machida and Shogun..... My thoughts are simple. Shogun attacked, but leg/body kicks won't win you a title. Not once did he try for a homerun punch or kick and when he went to try for a takedown he was fought off everytime by Machida. Machida fought a masterful defensive fight and thats why he won.

Exactly my opinion as well. Machida didn't win the fight, but Rua didn't do enough to win the belt.

I would love to see a rematch though, it was  a great fight.

Dana WHite has already said something about Machida v. Shogun II happening.

For those who haven't heard, Lesnar's pulled out of the fight with Carwin. It's been postponed until (probably) January 2nd. Big blow to UFC as it pretty much kills the drawing power of UFC 106.

Lesnar has been sick and unable to train for a month, and while they're denying it's swine flu, it probably is. Carwin all but confirmed it on twitter today.

This makes Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin the main event at 106, and Dana can't be happy about that. If I were him I'd move the Couture/Vera fight to 106 to make up for it.... although a card headlined by Swick/Hardy and Kang/Bisbing, evne if it's free and in the UK, doesn't sound all that great. Still, 107 only has 2 main-card level matches as it stands and people actually have to buy that one... so we'll see how it plays out.
