His next fight is coming up in October, so why would he be training in July? Most fighters based on interviews have 2 month training camps meaning he would be back in intense training from August, considering the Affliction fight was supposed to be held on August 1st, why would he already be in MMA training? The guy is doing both pro-wrestling and MMA, so while he may be in the gym doing general cardio and weight training, there is a lot of difference between that and training for a fight.
I see just from your numerous replies to my posts that you are one of those who has your opinion and everyone else is wrong if they don't agree, fine, I don't care if you agree with me and wouldn't want you to, we have our opinions, but when you step into a ring/cage and have your first match/fight, then I will take your opinion of calling someone a chickenshit punk seriously, but until then, I'll look at it as no more than a keyboard warrior sat behind his screen calling people who could probably kill you with 2 punches punk bitches.
As I said about Vitor Belfort and Don Frye, there are 2 name guys that were ready to step up and take on Fedor who were in training and therefore would have been ready, M-1 (Fedor's promoters) might have been scared that someone like Frye could cause an upset so were hoping to get someone who wasn't in training who has 4 fights to his name and who would be taking the fight on a weeks notice so Fedor would look like a killer, I don't blame Lashley for not taking the fight.
As someone pointed out, Lashley hopes to eventually make it to the UFC, and racking up a winning streak will help that, facing Fedor doesn't make sense at this stage of his career.
