Sounds about right. Mir maybe should have gotten more as he was a champ going in but that's the only surprise. As Cannon said in his post, Henderson should have gotten double or triple for that ridiculous knockout.

Actually, that $150,000 bonus was for having the knockout of the night.
"This is my welcome!"
Shame on TNA for letting go one of the best female wrestlers in the world.

Yea, I know.... But I don't think $300,000 would be out of the question for that KO.

What Cannon said. And it could technically be counted as 2 KOs, since he probably gave Bisping brain damage with that second shot when he was down :lol

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I'm just wondering why brock didn't get any bonus. is it because his post match stuff? looking at the payoffs GSP got 600K and brock got the same as henderson 400K to me it just seems like brock would get the most beings he was in the main event not to mention the guy everyone was talking about monday morning plus he's the champ so to me it would seem he should be getting payed the most or at least more than a non champion.....but then again im new to this so i don't know if you have to have a set amount of fights or what.

To Adam, i'm pretty new to the MMA game too but the way I interpreted it was that GSP got $400k total, 200 for the fight and 200 for winning. I will give my thoughts on Lesnar later.

Dale's right, it's a total. That means if Brock lost, he would have still gotten 400K, and if GSP lost, he would have only gotten 200K. It's all negotiated in conrtacts, I doubt Dana would take a win bonus away from Brock just because he made fun of a sponsor.

Like I said, he negotiated to have the a 400K deal without a bonus. I would imagine that if he had a bonus he would have had a 300K deal + a bonus or maybe the same deal GSP had. Sure Brock is the next big thing but GSP is right up there with him, considered the best fighter in the world, so it's not out of this world to think they'd get the same money. Brock had the advantage of negotiating a deal where all the money was up front, win or lose.

Brock actually has a good deal. Because win or lose he is guaranteed that 400k. Plus like the article says they get money from sponsors also. I'd say Brock pulled in somewhere between 500 and 550k maybe more. Not bad for 6 minutes of work.

If you guys didn't think GSP was the best pound-for pound fighter in the world before this week, read this:

GSP out with torn right abductor - Sportsnet.ca

Quote
Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre tore a tendon in his right abductor during his UFC 100 bout in Las Vegas Saturday night, MRI results confirmed Tuesday.

St. Pierre, who said he snapped his abductor muscle in the third round of his unanimous decision victory over Thiago Alves, had already been handed a medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He

Will that mean he will get stripped of his championship beings that he is out for so long?

if so maybe he'll use the time off to move up a weight division.

I really hope he does move up a weight division, but he won't lose his title. no one ever gets stripped of a title in UFC. Randy Couture decided to take a year off and they simply made another heavyweight championship (which is why both mir and lesnar had titles at UFC 100.

GSP is easily the best well rounded fighter in the UFC today imo.

I'd rank him above The Spider in that regard.

Been meaning to reply to this for a while, mainly in response to Shanti's article.

I can understand Dana being pissed at Brock for the ribbing of Bud as it's a major sponsor of the UFC and they don't want them pulling out of the deal. As far as the rest of Lesnar's antics go, just let him be. The more of an asshole he is and the more of a "heel" he becomes surely more people will want to purchase the PPV's in hope of him getting his ass kicked. I also hate the bullshit in regards to him approaching Mir afterwards and how it showed no class or respect and that's not what MMA is about. FUCK THAT SHIT. Yeah your going to have guys who respect the hell out of each other, but for me personally I much prefer seeing the hatred between them and you know that neither guy can stand each other and want to rip each others head's off.

In regards to Henderson I thought it was a massively douchey thing he did. To admit to knowing he was already KO'd but still threw the punch is a shitty thing to do. I'd like to believe he got docked something for that aswell.
