Did you play it on PS3? Can't remember if it was you but saw someone earning trophies on FB the other day :P.

Yeah I bought it back in June but never got around to playing it because of work.  I was looking for it on 360 but never came across it used, and couldn't pass on the $15 I paid for it on the PS3.  The controls took a chapter or two to get use to because of the analog sticks but it worked out in the end.

The Battlefield BC 3 Beta is supposed to be a very early build of the game, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you Adam, I prefer the general feel of it to BC 2 its just bugged and glitched to hell and back which takes away from the experience.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time Review | Better With Popcorn

Completely disappointing. They ripped most of what Shattered Dimensions fun out of the game, and it just feels like cancelled DLC.

5.5 out of 10.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Note: Merged the Batman discussion with an older thread we have, thought we had a good discussion going on and didn't want it drowned out here.

Getting inFamous 2: Festival of Blood today. Wanna do a quick playthrough of Uncharted 2 this weekend to review for BWP before I get Uncharted 3 next Tuesday, and I have Deus Ex I need to finish at some point. I think Arkham City is going on the backburner for a couple weeks :(

Are you going to do Uncharted 2 on Crushing? Is inFamous 2 worth getting btw, I've only played a little bit of the first one just wondering how good it is?

Thinking about doing it on Crushing. I wanna do it quick though so we'll see.

inFamous 2 is definitely worth getting. Read my review :)

inFAMOUS 2 Review: The Most Electrifying Game in Entertainment | Better With Popcorn

But really, I loved it. Think of it as a poor man's Arkham in a way. But definitely finish inFamous 1, as it carries over your save from the first game.

Its not too bad on Crushing, depends on how much of a shooter type guy you are I guess. The only frustrating part of that game is the final boss fight, I thought that was poorly executed and took away from the fun in the game.

Yeah I need to play infamous 1 some more but might do Yakuza before I do that, kind of don't want to start anything new for a while though as I'm supposed to be job hunting which is going poorly :/

Beat all these on PS3:

Just posted that i beat Batman Arkham City out in it's thread but wanted to keep track of it here too. 5/5

Ratchet & Clank all 4 one.
4/5

The only reason im giving this a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 is because i only played this in co op. as a stand alone co op i would give this a 5/5 for sure. this game has got a lot of so so reviews and i went into this game thinking it was going to be a soso game and be very short. so me and my cousin rented it from the redbox one night and we wanted to beat it out in that night we figured it wouldn't be that long and it would be pretty easy... well it ended up being exactly 10 hours long from start trophy to end trophy. and we had a blast. it may not be the best ratchet & Clank game ever but i think its a great one to add to the series and im really glad they made it. it still has great animation and a great sense of humor and though the weapons aren't all as great as they normally are in these games they are still pretty good and there a re a lot to chose from. the game gets REALLY hard during the later levels. theres this ice level towards the end that we died on over and over and had to strategically work with our ammo and and our weapons at the same time and we barely made it through that part which was one of the best and most epic co op or video game experiences i have had in a long time. then the end boss fight is an awesome boss fight too. if you're playing single player i don't know if it would be this fun but if you have a friend over at your house this game is an absolute blast.

Rage
4/5

Here's the thing about Rage. the first part of the game which is more like the first 3 quarters f the game is awesome...but in the last quarter of the game you go to this place called subway town and it's just not. of course thats not all of the game so i'll go back to the start. when i first played this game it reminded me of borderlands...A LOT just a lesser borderlans and that was okay by me beings borderlands it one of my favorit games of all time. the shooting and AI from the guys you're shooting at is awesome better than any other game i have played before. its just so smooth and everything looks so good this might be the best looking video game i have ever played in terms of graphics and just how smooth it is. it doesn't really feel like an open world game all that much...then again it doesn't feel like a straght forward shooter either. you meet people in towns and collect missions to do go out and do those missions and come back and get your rewards and advance in the game. also in the game there are different kind of weapons and healing items and what not you can craft which i found to be really fun and was one of my favorite parts of the game. there's also this Card collecting game in the game which is awesome. so yeah there is a lot to love about the game but then there is the bad. the story never really feels like it comes together. and once you get in subway town the game just seems to be less fun and less interesting and the world is kind of blah. then the end of the game is just such a let down. it doesn't feel like an end of a game at all really. i just expected a lot more from the ending and not in terms of the game lasting longer but the final battle and final mission its self was just so underwhelming. so yeah a lot of good things and some bad things mostly towards the end but i loved this game for the most part and i would still recommend it.

I Have Battlefield ready to play after i get one more trophy on Batman so i'll have at least 50% of trophies on it i just feel wrong at 49% of trophies. but i have learned that sense i rented BF3 that i will not be able to play the multiplayer. i need a code for it or i have to pay $10. so that already annoys me because i loved the BFBC 2 multiplayer but didn't like the Beta for the BF3 multiplayer but was still really wanting to play it since the beta was just that... a beta. but I'll finish the single player and then next up will be Modern warfare 3.

Still haven't played Dead island, the new Dead Rising, and its looking like im gonna miss out on uncharted 3 for a little while too with the way my gamefly is set up. I didn't like oblivion much so i can wait on skyrim anyways beings im really not excited for it. and i still want to beat saints 2 out before i play saints 3 so that can wait too. same goes for the new assassins creed game i gotta still beat brotherhood. maybe after MW3  i can catch up on uncharted and dead island and stuff since everyone will be all about skyrim assassins and saints then.

Battlefield 3 campaign  mode
3/5

Beings i rented this game and they make it to where you can't play the multiplayer if you rent the game unless you pay an extra $10 i was not able to play the multiplayer which also means i wasn't able to play the co-op mode either so i can only speak of the campaign which is a rather small part in these types of games because the multiplayer is what its really all about. i did play the beta of the multiplayer though and did not like it.

The story though. the game starts out really fun and really good. the game ends really fun and really good. the middle just seemed really boring and not fun. the story its self was uninteresting for the most part until the end of the game and then it kind of pulls you in a little. its not a long game but at the same time it felt like it was. a lot of the time your just sitting there talking to your AI buddies or listening to them most of the time which i just found annoying. and also the checkpoints on this game are horrible. if you die they start you back way too far. graphics are good its a very nice looking game. the shooting is okay nothing wrong with that and they try to mix up the missions to where you have different types of missions but i didn't really find a lot of those types of missions to be any fun. i didn't like the jet fighting or whatever you wanna call it. i didn't really like the tanks. sniper level was fun and then like the last 3 missions were really fun but the rest of the game just wasn't for me. the end saved it from getting a lower score but this was still a major disappointment for me. I LOVED BF Bad company 2. i loved the single player and the multiplayer but especially the single player. it followed these 4 guys and it had a really good story and it it was actually interesting and you would be into it and you would actually care about whats going on. this game didn't do that for me it seemed generic a lot of the times and i just didn't care about anything that was happening until the end.

I Can't speak to the multiplayer in full but if you're wanting a good FPS for its single player then this isn't the game to get. There are so many FPS games that have came out this year. Killzone 3, Homefront, Brink, Crysis 2, Rage but if i had to recommend one i would say get Resistance 3. with that said we have the biggest FPS game of the year coming out next week in MW3 which i will have and will probably be the next game i talk about here.

Honestly I don't think the point is the single player in these games, especially Battlefield. I'm not a big FPS guy, but I know COD usually has a slightly better campaign since a lot more kids and stuff buy the game, plus they have to consider people that might not connect their consoles to the net or don't allow their kids to play online or wtv. I don't think COD and Battlefield have the same target market in some ways. In some ways Battlefield might be better suited as just a flat out online game / MMO.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

The single player wasn't very fun i'll admit and I agree with your point on the checkpoints as well, they can set you back like 10-15 minutes some times. The game is pretty straight forward on hard difficulty and took me a few hours to complete it. The thing I dislike about this game is the night levels, I literally just can't see anything and its not my brightness settings or anything like that, its just really poorly designed imo. But otherwise its a really good game and I've had a blast with the multiplayer so far. Single players mean noting for FPS games now unless its something like Halo where they inject a lot of fun ideas into it.

I didn't write the review but we gave 10 out of 10 to Uncharted 3, and I agree with it:

Review: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception | Better With Popcorn

I haven't even touched multiplayer yet lmao.

Went back to Arkham Asylum a bit since I beat City (all I have left to do there is some catwoman shit, literally like 4 or 5 riddler things, new game + and a few challenge maps), and while waiting for AC: Revelations tomorrow. I love the game, but man, i think it really takes a look back to realize that they actually improved a lot in City, from the art style and graphics to the freeflow mechanics, which, compared to City, are a little wonky in Asylum.

Hey look I put down Skyrim long enough to post!  I've had it since Tuesday and I'm already a level 31 Nord and have only completed 4 main quest missions....  That's what makes a game truly awesome in opinion, the fact that you have the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want.  It helps that the dragon battles are really satisfying, the music is still perfect, and the bugs (so far) are pretty non-existent.  The sad thing is with like 50+ hours into the game I would venture a guess that I am only 20-30% done (even though they claim nobody will ever be 100% done because missions will always keep coming).  This is such a HUGE improvement over Oblivion, which was my game of the year and all-time favorite this generation, so that's saying a lot.

Oh and I also bought Modern Warfare 3.  Beat the campaign in 4.5 hours, which I actually loved because they wrapped up the story quite nicely.  The Survival Mode is fun with a partner and fucking insane without.  The Special Ops Missions are pretty fun as well and quite challenging on Veteran, even with a capable coop buddy.  Have yet to touch the multiplayer, though I have heard good things.  It's just the way I am with CoD games, I tend to avoid the online aspect for a couple months so I can actually enjoy the game before I start worrying too much about my k/d ratio....

I feel sorry for Assassin's Creed in all this because it comes out tomorrow and I don't foresee me putting down Skyrim to play it.... it makes me sad because I REALLY want to play Revelations :(
