I been meaning to post but haven't gotten around to it for whatever reason but i have played and beaten 3 games recently and also want to talk about a demo i played recently that i loved.

Mortal Kombat which i think i talked about in its thread, i thought the game was a great fighting game and might have been my favorite fighting game of all time. so much to do and the controls and gameplay is pretty fun. great game.

That's not the only fighting game i played recently though, I rented Marvel vs Capcom 3. I never played any of the previous ones but this game seemed pretty generic to me, all the matches were 3 on 3 and the gameplay its self in matches were pretty good though some of the combos and stuff are really hard. the story mode is where this game really fails. its like 6 matches against the comp and thats all. like arcade mode and then if you get the final hit with your guy you get there ending which is like the old type generic picture with text. overall i did enjoy playing it  but it got old really fast so i would say rent this at best but you're not missing out if you don't.

Little BIG Planet 2. this game was absolutely amazing! first off story mode is great and every level seems like it brings something new to the table and they are all really fun. then the mini games are a lot funner and meaningful now because if you get a set amount of score you get prize bubbles and the collector in me of course wants them all.

The sound in this game and the music are just outstanding the best you will hear in any game. then of course the levels online are incredible! there are levels online that are much better than levels in the game that people just made up and there are so many like that if you want any game that gives you more bang for your buck this is the game.

Not only that but they have levels that are pretty much not even LBP levels. there is an old school 2D zelda level. a gameboy mario level. a pacman level a peggle level and so many more.

I also really liked the pins you get throughout the game just makes you feel good.

Anyways guys this game is a must have. 5/5 from me absolutely perfect and is without a doubt a GOTY contender for me.

I've also played some other games lately, tonight i was playing shank which i really like so far, and i been playing sonic 2 since it was free. and of course black ops which im 10 prestige down and 5 to go.

I played the Demo for Dungeon Siege III on the 360. i never played any dungeon siege game before but i loved this game, the demo seemed pretty long and i enjoy the story very much and i think if you change who you are then the story and the whole game changes but i can't confirm that yet. the gameplay kind of reminds you of torchlight in a way mixed with dragon age but WAY better than dragon age. anyways i really enjoyed this and am looking forward to playing the real game when it comes out in a couple weeks.

Adam, have you played the Challenge Tower yet on MK? I only discovered it as I was finishing the story mode, it's insane how much value it adds to the game... 300 challenges lmao. I need to play online a little but but I have a feeling I'm going to get owned lol. In my opinion the best fighting game of all time.

And I don't get the fuss about MvC, people go nuts over those games and I got 2 off of PSN and I never really enjoyed it other than a few lulz with friends.

Anyway as you guys know I'm on inFAMOUS 2 right now and absolutely loving it. Got a few things to finish on LA Noire before working towards a platty and a few games in my PSN backlog. Plenty of games to amuse me until the fall months that are going to destroy us all lol

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I nearly always get owned online because I can never remember the special moves.

I've started the challenge Tower I think i'm around the 40 area so a very long way to go yet. Strangely thought the challenge tower is so far pretty fun, I thought it might have got a little tedious after a while.

There's a good balance between challenging and flat out fun. The one where you have to beat Scorpion with Nightwolf only in the lit areas, and a few others like that are annoying but being challenging is part of the fun. Really a great addition to the game, I think that's what puts it over the top.

Yeah the challenge tower adds a lot of replay value and it's fun, i don't own the game i was borrowing it from a friend so i only got to around 30 or somewhere close to that.

as for online i suck at all fighting games online, i managed to get 1 win on MK but that was just to get the trophy.

BUT

I am undefeated in ranked match on MvC3 i am 1-0 and plan to stay that way.lol.

I just bought Def Jam: Icon & Dead Space 2 for PS3 (couldn't find DS2 any cheaper than I found it so I couldn't pass).  I likely won't get around to playing either one of them until at least early July though.  I have really looked forward to jumping into Dead Space 2 ever since it came out but didn't have the funding and was hoping to find it cheap, I love pawn shops.  As for Def Jam, I owned the 2 before it and loved both of them but heard mixed reviews on Icon.  Oh well, I spent $8 on it so I doubt I'll feel ripped off.  Though the cast seems to suck a bit more now....

I heard that the PS3 version is the better one. Or is it that they have an exclusive DR: Case West-type DLC for it? Either way I'm too scared to play Dead Space lol

Only played the demo of the first dead space and just didn't like how you have to shoot off limbs. i just wanted to be able to shoot the things and then have them die.

I'm currently playing Portal 2. but i have beaten Killzone 3 recently as well so i will talk more about that soon.

Yeah the PS3 version comes with the rail shooter type game, which I may or may not try.  You should seriously get into this series though Prax, I'm sure you'd enjoy it.

I really thought it'd suck ass going in because of the whole limb thing but it's not really 100% necessary to do that, it's just a quicker death for the aliens.  You start to only go for limbs the more you play though, it just becomes natural.

Killzone 3

Well theres 2 sides to this game. the multiplayer is bad IMO. just didn't have fun on it at all which of course is a big thing in FPS games. the story mode though i really liked. the story its self isn't great but it's ok and the levels or chapters if you will on this game are really good and like LBP2 seems to add something different for most of the levels.  i however didn't really like the end of the game it was just pretty lack luster and not how i thought the game should have ended. you pretty much in a ship shooting stuff though throughout the rest of the game you are playing a FPS. just not how i'd like it to end.

Overall I'd give this around a 3.5/5 or 7/10

Portal 2

Just like pretty much all the other reviews out there says this is a great game. just so much fun and has such a good sense of humor to it as well. the puzzles are great and figuring them out make you feel great and the game has a good storyline or at least i really liked it. but really everything about this game that i played was amazing. got all the trophies in single player. didn't play much of the co-op because i couldn't find anyone on my friend list who had the game and playing with a random in that type of game can be kind of annoying but it seems really interesting and good especially if you're able to communicate with your partner. this game is awesome though, so simple yet so complicated and so brilliant.

Overall 5/5 or 10/10

Also i got all my perks on black ops to Pro. it was a bitch getting some of them. flak jacket pro was annoying. as was Scout pro beings sniping sucks on black ops and warlord pro getting double kills with gernades was annoying for a while too. but i challenged myself to get them and i did so, so yay! lol. 11 prestiges down 4 to go.

I've been playing a few games since being home mostly DLC's for games I already own:

Fable III - To be fair, the DLC was a bit of fun, it wasn't great but that's because Fable III was a pretty lackluster game itself. Fairly fun and to be honest, probably worth the 320 MSP price tag.

Fallout: New Vegas: Honest Hearts - I was left pretty disappointed with this, so we get introduced to a character who was pretty mysterious and had a slight build in the main game called the burning man, I was actually looking forward to this and it ends up that he's pretty pointless. The DLC itself can be completed in a couple of hours, hell I think its shorter then the DLC on Fable and its double the price, rip off. Mind you this is one thing I absolutely hate about Bethesda, their DLC's always cost a shed load and they always release a few, for a game like New Vegas, which felt like Fallout 3.5, I would have liked to have seen the DLC halved at the very least.

L.A. Noire: The Naked City and A Slip Of The Tongue - Good DLC's, I thought A Slip Of The Tongue was pretty short, but I can't really complain as the Rockstar Pass pretty much makes these DLC's worth absolutely sod all which is always a bonus. Looking forward to the new pack released today so I can get my 1400/1400 on this game :D.

Also been playing Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty on the PS3 which is a lot of fun, just sort of playing a level a day on it, liking the fact it has no trophies as I can just sort of chill through it. Fun platformer game though, a rare gaming genre nowadays but always fun to play for anyone to be honest and would possibly look into getting a couple more Ratchet and Clank games if I see them for cheap :D.

Really all I am doing is just tidying up a few achievements on games which have new DLC's which I don't mind, L.A. Noire, Halo: Reach, Ratchet and Clank and possibly going to start another playthrough on Mass Effect 2 which I've put off for a while now, but the DLC's out and want to do a renegade playthrough :D.

Yeah Ratchet & Clank games are awesome you should check out Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. i don't see how so many overlook those games.

On the bright side of the fallout DLC's is they always go on sale on deal of the week or something so if you wait you can always get them for like $5 eventually. i think that is the thing i have seen the most go on sale.

I'm on the LA Noire DLC too. I played the Consul's Car which was short and kinda hard. Slip of the Tongue was a lot better and felt like real DLC, like it added a lot to the game. Just started Naked City but I'm already annoyed that it seems to be a part of the morphine story arc lol. Why can't anything be standalone? Looking forward to the new Arson case today too... I hope they release something for homicide although I felt that desk was perfect.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.
