lol Activision. Can't blame them if so many people are willing to spend exorbitant amounts for shit.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

TOTALLY AGREED. But they have single player DLC coming out this month to tide us over :)

Or you guys could go back and play the assassins creed 2 DLC.

Do you guys think its starting to become too call of duty/ Guitar hero/ Madden like? with them coming out so soon? i know thats been a hot topic regarding that game with them coming out with 2 and brotherhood back to back.

Not really. Brotherhood was more of a continuation of 2 running the same engine and such, but they added A LOT to it. They revamped the combat system, added weapons, added a shit ton of mission types, even changed the format from a bunch of cities to one big city. So it's not like they just made one for the sake of making one, it had a purpose and it added a lot to the game. Call of duty's had a game a year for while now, Assassin's Creed has had 3 main games spread out over 4 years and the 4th probably won't come out this year. And it's all relevant to the story. So I really don't think it's the same because Ubisoft doesn't do it just to rub out a game they can make money off of, they do it to progress the story.

The Assassin Creed games just keep getting better and better where Madden hasn't had a fresh update since like 2002.  Call of Duty will always entertain me though.  I fully agree with Guitar hero though, and I believe that was the series' downfall.

Or you guys could go back and play the assassins creed 2 DLC.

Done that already :(

Yeah I'm on the same boat. for me i don't care if a series of a game comes out every year as long as im a fan of that series.

I bought one of the DLC for creed 2 but never got to play it beings i never di buy it for the 360. but the DLC was really cheap and on sale so i thought why not.

Right now i just bough mass effect 2 i hope it lives up to the hype and doesn't disappoint like the first one.

I also got Halo 3 ODST. i haven't played the story but the i havve some multiplayer which is pretty much the same as halo 3 multiplayer i think i really don't see any difference. i don't know if they added something or what? anyways playing it just makes me think of how much better the black ops multiplayer is and the BF multiplayer too for that matter. and i always remember liking the halo multiplayer, but i don't know am i spoiled by black ops or does this multiplayer just really not hold up?

If you are talking about the disc labelled multiplayer with ODST, that is Halo 3's multiplayer but with all the DLC. I will agree with you, Halo 3's multiplayer is pretty lackluster. If you used to like the halo games online I would recommend playing Reach, definitely beats H3's multiplayer.

Spent the afternoon playing through Gears of War with a friend on Live. I have no idea why I haven't gotten around to picking up the second yet, as I absolutely love the first. Such fun.

Torchlight just came out on XBLA, i played the trial and loved it and instantly bought it.  but so far i really really enjoy it, just really my type of game Kind of reminds me of trine in some ways like the style and look of it but way more RPG, it also somewhat reminds me of puzzle quest but without puzzles.lol. i think when it says "Quest complete" its the same voice that said the same thing on Puzzle quest. Anyways you guys should go download the trial and if you enjoy it like me buy it its $15.

The screenshots are really giving me that Baldur's Gate vibe.  I'll likely give the demo a try later today since I got the M$ points floating around.

I did take advantage of that Deal of the Week for the Lara Croft game.  So far I'm really liking it.... but my partner is so fucking annoying to play co-op with.  I feel like I'm controlling both characters at the same time....

EDITS:

I just played the demo to Battle: Los Angeles.  Not bad but not something I'd pay $10 for because I get the feeling it's a very short arcade game.

I also demoed Torchlight... it took a whole 10 minutes to get hooked and purchase the full game.  I was right to assume it shared qualities with the Playstation version of Baldur's Gate.  Loved those games and so far loving Torchlight.  Easily worth the price and I've only been playing for about a half an hour.

YES!

I also liked the Lara croft game but only in co-op i tried playing it single player and did not enjoy it. it also seems very long to be an arcade game, kind of seems to drag out too much at time but when its on sale like it is and like when i got it i think its worth 5-7 bucks.

I finally turned Torchlight off after nearly 3 hours straight.  Funny thing is I barely touched the main story once I found those scroll things at the Gem/Magic Dealer that randomly generate dungeons with some pretty sweet loot.  A small group of my friends want to pop back on XBL in like 2 hours to play some Black Ops..... not sure if I'll join them now.  Damn you Torchlight....

Demo time!

Mortal Kombat.

So i played the new Mortal Kombat demo and much like other fighting games it just didn't click with me and i think i may know why and it could be all these reasons or just some of them or maybe none of them. I don't like playing with the analog stick because if im trying to do a move its harder to do for me with the stick then of course you have a D-Pad on the controller but on these controllers these days i just don't like using the D-Pad for that, i don't know if it's the controller or the fact im just so used to not using it for moving anymore.
But it's kind of what you get with pretty much every fighting game, you got the kick the power kick the punch and the power punch or whatever it seems and it just gets old unless you learn how to do other moves which i don't have the patience to do. of course i know scorpions <- <- B or whateverbut besides that i just am too lazy to wanna learn these moves and really just don't care.
I Would assume the game would have been more fun if i played with a friend or something.

In the end the game just seems like it's just not for me, but i don't want to give up on the Fighting genre all together just yet because just not long back i actually enjoyed MK vs DC.

Dragon age 2.

I hated Dragon age: Orgins. the trailer for it was so amazing and so epic and was one of my favorite trailers it really got me more excited than i can recall any other trailer doing. The game though was such a let down, it was nothing like the trailer the combat was bad and the graphics were horrible and it all just seemed dated and boring. Dragon Age 2 however seems to have improved a lot more. the graphics seem better, the combat seems better, it overall seems less boring and i found myself interested in the story. with that said i didn't love it i just kind of enjoyed it. The graphics are better but they still look dated. the combat is better but it's still not great. from the demo it kind of seemed like all you do is just fight the same wave of enemy pretty much over and over wave after wave.

So i didn't love Dragon Age 2 but i may end up getting it at some later date if i can pick it up for like $10 or something.

Another thing that bugged me when playing dragon age 2 which bugs me in some other games too is that i can't read the text in these games. i don't have an HDTV anymore, i got my good old 20 inch SD flat screen. and they just make the text so small in these games i just can't read it. i think they did the same thing with dead rising and there was another game too maybe it was a fallout game or mass effect or something. but it really bothers me because i want to get into the story of stuff but its hard when they're not talking and you can't read the text or you don't know what answer or reply you're gonna give them.
