What is that, tower defense? I'm not big on that style.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

I don't understand how those types of games can be considered fun....  The Bulgarians I worked with last summer just ate them up.  When they weren't playing the crap out of FIFA, it was all about random tower defense games.

DOUBLE POST!!!

I bought Splinter Cell Double Agent like a year ago because I saw that it was only $3 at my local pawn shop.  I wasn't a fan of the first 3 on the PS2 but figured I'd see if the jump to this generation would make the series more playable.  I was wrong.... I nearly pulled the plug after the opening training missions....  The controls are still HORRIBLE, the camera still sucks, Sam Fisher is still boring, and the graphics barely got an upgrade (I'm sure they did with the newest one but they already lost me as a player).  Guess I got a shiny new Frisbee....

Has anyone here actually enjoyed playing this series after they've already played Metal Gear Solid?  Solid Snake would kick the shit outta Sam Fisher.... even as Old Snake.

They're releasing the 3 from PS2 onto the PS3 with improved graphics and I'm guessing a better engine for 40 bucks. I have way too many games to buy this year but it's a pretty cool deal.

I played the demo for the MGS Game that was supposed to be so great for the PS3 and couldn't stand it. i guess those games just aren't for me or i was overhyped. did they ever patch trophies for it though? i think they should with all games because i can't stand playing them without trophies or achievements just cause i like having a direction and working for something.

I'm not gonna lie.  I played the multiplayer mode they had on that and I enjoyed it much more than the single player portion of the game.  Then again I only played the first two missions because they were solo missions.... I'd hate to play with strangers on a game like this and my friends all have, at worse, below average tastes in games so there is no way they'd ever touch this pile of crap.

It was Demo day for me, i played a good bit of demos and none of them really blew me away.

Crysis 2 which is a multiplayer demo did nothing for me. i didn't really like anything about it and what really put me over the top to dislike it was i'd be shooting someone and it would take forever to kill them. maybe i needed to learn more about it but for what it was a demo which is supposed to make you want to play mre it didn't do its job for me.

Bulletstorm was one i actually liked. now i didn't like the presentation in terms of voice acting and the overall style they were going for. but the game its self was pretty fun i just played this one mode where you go through the level with your AI Buddies and you kill the bad guys and you get points for it and the the more creative you get with your kills the more points you get and they said you can compare with friends and stuff which sound cool. which kind of gave me an idea for the next Left 4 dead game. maybe the next thing they should do is add more creative ways to kill zombies and put more focus on points. but anyways this didn't strike me as a must buy but something i'll probably rent down the line.

Breach was another multiplayer FPS and its anarcade title you can get for $15. but it kind of had the opposite effect on me that crysis did i felt like if i got shot 1 time i was dead which was just annoying. and i had a lot of connection errors that i though was my fault first but it just kept happening when i normally can play online games with no problem. overall i think i enjoyed this slightly more than crysis but overall not much at all. maybe im spoiled by black ops and battlefield bad 2 company though. or maybe i should just try to get used to them.

enough of the FPS games though

Microbot i played which kind of reminded me of a space ship version of pixel junk eden in a way and what i would imagine pixel junk shooter would be. it was ok. nothing i would really care to buy but it may be for someone else and they will love it.

and finally i played this game i forget the name something about square people? iuno but it somewhat remiinded me of a ratchet & Clank style game just nowhere near as good. and i don't know if i did something wrong but i did the tutorial and that was all trial i got. but i was like screw it i didn't love what i played so far so im just gonna be done with it.

I'm considering trying the deadspace 2 demo but beings i didn't like the deadspace 1 demo i dunno if i should even bother. i just don't like having to shoot off limbs.

I Finished Singularity last night, it was a really good game, very overlooked and underrated IMO. it kind of reminds you of bioshock with some time travel thrown in thats really awesome. i liked the story too. and there is a goo amount of weapons in the game and a few little puzzles or somewhat puzzles in it too just with how to get to different places using your ability you pick up.

not really a review but I'd say

4/5

Also for us lost fans there is a Lost Reference in it that i absolutely marked out over

Spoiler:
It's an achievement too and you go in this tunnel like thing and you get down there and it's the frozen wheel from lost the one Locke turned to send the island into time travel. and the achievement pops up and it's like "Will this ever be explained"  and i was like "OMG i love it!"

Splinter Cell Double Agent was a good game when it came out, but that was about 3-4 years ago now. I played it recently and I would probably agree with you; it wasn't as good as I remember it being. I think it's just a case of it not standing the test of time.

Mostly been finishing up on a few games this Christmas, completed Bad Company 2 a few days ago and close to getting all the achievements on RDR. If you haven't played the Vietnam DLC on Battlefield I would recommend it. It's not a necessity but I found myself enjoying it. Also got a few Trophies on SVR 2011, will probably get a few more easy ones before I go back to uni :D.

My housemate has COD modern warfare 2 and assassin's creed 2 so rather than buy a game I've borrowed these. AC 2 is awesome! Really enjoying it, one of the best recent games I've played along with Red Dead and Uncharted 2.

So far on the PS3 I own
- Uncharted 2
- Little Big Planet
- Fifa 11 (I am English)
- Medal of Honour (came free with console, not bad, not great just good)
- WWE 2011
- AC Brotherhood (for when I finish AC2)

Once I finish AC2 and Modern Warfare 2 I will pay Brotherhood.

Xbox 360 finished Red dead but now have GTA ballad of gay tony/lost and damned to do!
