I Just got done with Spider man Shattered dimensions. and i gotta say it was a really good game, not great but really good.
I liked being the different spider man but besides the stealth one the rest kind of ended up feeling the same. and with that said the stealth was probably my least favorite just because i don't really like being stealthy because i don't have much patience.
I think this most fun i had in this game was just going around lookking for those emblems, which reminded me a lot of crackdown and crackdown 2 where the best part is going around making cool jumps trying to get to stuff, really glad they have the emblems.
the time of the game wasn't too long or too short but i never wanted to play it for too long at a time because i guess it just felt repetitive, some of the levels have really good level design though in terms of structure the look of the levels were kind of meh.
I didn't really like the story so i didn't pay much attention to it after a while, though this game didn't seem like it was supposed to be too story driven, its pretty much this chick tells you you gotta get all these stones and you get one in each level for beating each boss. pretty simple.
This game made me think of the batman game in some ways though. not that they play anything alike are really are anything alike, but for super hero games i think for those who want to play a super hero game and may not like the stealth so much i think they will have just as good of time playing this game, with that said i think they will even have a better time playing the wolverine game that came out last year which was awesome.
the controls can be a little glitchy at times and trying to pull yourself to a specific ledge or whatever it may be can be kind of a pain at times, same goes for when you're trying to grab things.
All the boss fights were pretty good, though the whole up close combat thing where you have to do the fighting the the sticks seem kind of pointless because it didn't take any health away, and by the time i was at the end of a level i just felt like "oh god we got to do this again?" but that might just have been me.
Also i ended up getting all but 9 of the achievements

i think the only ones i missed was to do everything on hard, beat a stealth level without being seen, and complete the web and do all the upgrades. so with having to get that stuff i guess the re-playability is there but in all honesty i wouldn't really care to do any of those things or i really wouldn't care to go through the game again. it took me i think around 9-10 hours to finish it so i say its a good renter.
Overall i very much enjoyed the game and i think its well worth a rent and maybe a buy once the price goes down....if it already isn't.
3.75/5Next I'll start singularity.
It looks like Red Dead and Fable 3 are going to have to wait a while with brotherhood. I'm trying to get what will probably be my final month of gamefly games done while i still have it. I just hope they send me enslaved before it runs out
