No offence but could the fact your gay have something to do with that?

No, because I genuinely believe that there are straight people out there that feel the same. Jennifer Anniston has this attractive cute girl next door look; she doesn’t have this sexual energy about her. In Horrible Bosses the character she played worked because we were not suppose to take her seriously. But if Jennifer Anniston was in a drama and she had to play a sexual character it wouldn’t work because she just doesn’t have that look about her.

Let’s take a look at Mila Kunis she has this natural sexy look and she can produce this energy in her movies. In Black Swan Mila Kunis played Lily who was a sexy character but would this role work as well if Jennifer Anniston was playing Lily.

I don't think there are any major dramas in the pile of scripts Aniston has. I definitely agree that she has this "girl next door" kind of look, but that's why her role in Horrible Bosses was so great. It was anti-type, and it worked because it wasn't overbearing. But I doubt whether she could pull that off in a drama is her concern, the character was meant to be overly satirized.

Anyway:

30 Minutes or Less
Decent comedy, not as good as Horrible Bosses, for instance, but a few laugh out loud moments and really solid cast. Probably wait for this to come on cable though or DVD.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
loved it! The battle on the San Fransisco bridge was excellent. The horse coming galloping up and Caesar popped up   :mrk :mrk :mrk  I was also shocked about how emotionally  connected to Cesar I became. Many sad points during this film; where Caesar just wants to go home, where the big ape sacrificed himself to save Caesar and the others  :'(

Would happily go see this in the cinema again

The Inbetweeners Movie (2011)

Did a good job of seeming like a film not just a long tv episode (for the most part.) The film has its faults and some jokes that weren't great but there are a lot of moments that are fucking hilarious. Really funny stuff and it had some heart to it so I'd give it an 8/10

Watched The Big Lebowski on bluray. Classic film and great on the high def format, especially all the hallucination scenes. The original stoner flick and actually a great movie in general. Glad to have this as part my collection.

8.5 out of 10.

I'll give you Cheech & Chong, didn't think of them lol. Plus Dazed & Confused. I guess I meant more in its current form, where the pot isn't necessary to the story but is still kinda there, if you know what I mean?

Pretty good, nothing memorable or classic but I had fun, and I love Paul Rudd. Great supporting cast here too.

Scream 4
It was epic seeing the original three back together again.  Excellent movie and a credit to the Scream franchise. The only down side for me was:
Spoiler:
The killing of the entire new cast. If Scream wants to continue they need to introduce a new leading lady, we’ve seen Sidney defeat him again, again, again and again!

8/10

The Inbetweeners Movie
Parts of the film were slow and not that good. However the comedic portions of the film were bloody hilarious. The ending turned into a romantic comedy which was a bit odd and wasn’t really true to the Inbetweeners.

I did however during the course of this movie discover that the person that plays Neill is strangely attractive. :smitten:

I recently heard that the guy who plays Neil is gay.
I thought it was a good film but nothing will beat the first season of the show, before the characters became so obviously fake.

I have watched a few films lately and I rewatched Rise of the planet of the apes (would still give it an 8, awesome film.)

1. Shoot the Pianist (Truffaut)- Not a fan of the french new wave and didn't really have expectations. Ended up being one of the best films I have ever seen 10/10 Its apparently Bob Dylan's favourite film too, would not expect any less from the master.

2. Le Samourai (Melville)- Awesome minimalist film, very enjoyable and wonderfully crafted 8/10

3. Memories of Murder- The Korean film that Zodiac was apparently inspired by. Fucking awesome film 8/10

4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2- Being a fan of the books was a bit let down but it was okay, just didn't seem to have the heart usually present- 6/10

I'm not a Potter fan so I haven't seen it, but you seem to be in a very small majority of people who didn't absolutely love it.

I'm one step closer to him  ¬_¬

Ghost Ship
Well this was not the move I was thinking off... The opening sequence to the film great, it did have a good story line with a really good twist. In all Average horror movie, nothing to special in my opinion.

Contagion: 9 out of 10
http://betterwithpopcorn.com/blog/george-prax/movie-reviews/contagion-review-better-stock-purel

Absolutely loved this movie. So gripping, so tense, so realistic. I love Soderbergh and I thought this may have been his best work. Almost feels like a horror movie at times.

Also saw The Debt last weekend but forgot to mention it: 8 out of 10. Great film too

I know 5 people who saw it. Four of them were disappointed and one enjoyed it. The guy who enjoyed it was the only one who didn't read the book so that might have something to do with it.

Tree of Life (2011): Beautiful cinematography but had none of the charm of Thin, Red Line 7/10

Like I said I didn't see it but the thing has a 97% on RT and everyone I know who saw it loved it. Maybe it a cultural thing?
