Tangled
Just loved it. All the characters were great, the songs were fun and the storyline was exciting.

Flynn Rider, probably one of Disney's best male hero creation, Rapunzel was very sweet and fun too :)

The King's Speech.

A truly wonderful film, you must see.
Colin Firth is a lock on for an Oscar surely after this film, and Helena Bonham-Carter was wonderful and quirky as always. The best film I have seen since Inception.

wolverine
I saw X-Men 1,2 and 3 when they first came out but for some reason X-Men Wolverine slipt under the radar for me, but found it cheap on DVD  today and decide to give it a try...

Hugh Jackman is great in this film, the other characters thought don’t get allot of time to make an impression or impact on the movie (Ryan Reynolds is completely underused). There was simply not enough dialogue or story for all the characters.

I also thought the back story for the brothers could have been filled out more to help bring some emotion to this all action film.

Not bad by a long shot... But not great

The "sequel" is being directed by Darren Aronovsky and apparently Jackman's put on an extra 20-30 pounds of muscle for it and the film hasn't even started filming yet. It's going to be great.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Resident Evil - Apocolypse
Finaly got round to watching the sequal... Their was allot more action in this movie, like zombie movie should have.   O0 Sadly their wasn't much to the plot other than the "trapped in the city" rubbish  :dohw:

Jill Valentine made the sequal thought, shame the actress that played her was terrible.  :tickedoff: But like I said before with the first Resident Evil is not suppose to be Oscar contender film, its suppose to be a fun entertain film and that’s what it delivers, On a few occasions anyway.  :-\

Woo Woo Wooo you know it!

I watched Dinner for Schmucks- very different to "le dinner des cons" which is a far more touching film but admittedly Dinner for Schmucks was funnier due to Flight of the Conchords Jermaine who was hilarious.
Not a bad film I suppose.

Resident Evil: Afterlife
Milla Jovovich really does save these movies and Afterlife is possibly the best of the series. It has allot of action and is a good mixture of comedy and drama.

And we’re closer to find out what happened to Jill Valentine, hopefully they go into that more in the 5th movie.

Green Mile
Can you believe this is the first time I’ve seen this movie  (N)

The casting is perfect, and the execution scene nearly had me sobbing my eyes out  :'(. Thought I couldn’t watch the scene where Percy didn’t wet the sponge, that was beyond horrific

only slight critisim is being over long

I saw the Green Mile ages ago and then read the book. I actually thought the movie was superior but wonder if I had done it in the opposite order if my feelings would have been the same?
I do think it is a rare case where the film is better though.

Manhattan- Woody Allen's love letter to manhattan- a romantic love story where the city plays a vital part in the relationships involved. A good film but definitely could understand people finding it too smarmy or pedantic.

Stephen King has a tendency to write books that are very easily translated into films so I'm not surprised you liked the movie better. My favorite author partially for that reason.
