Dinner for Schmucks - 6 out of 10
Not going to lie. this was delightfully stupid and I loved every minute of it lol

I Liked that movie but not as much as i thought i would. i think it gets better as it goes on though. and towards the end when Steve carrel at the dinner was simply EPIC.

I think people misunderstood it. I remember a lot of people saying it was stupid but that's kind of the point, since it's about stupid and over the top crazy people lol. I had no expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as good as The Other Guys or the other big comedies of the year but it was pretty funny.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

Salt - The extended cut (Apparently the theatrical release is different to the extend cut version)

I liked this film defiantly on bar with Bourne film series. Would have been nice to have a stronger supporting cast thought (a decent actor to play the US president for instance).

In Bruges

One of my favourite films ever with some of the best one liners going. The conversation with Ken & Harry towards the end of the film, if you've seen the film you'll know the one I'm on about is just magic.

I Went and saw True Grit tonight. i thought it was a really good movie but i didn't like it as much as everyone else seems to be liking it. with that said i had no problems with the movie at all and thought the acting was great and the speaking and language in it was outstanding. but i didn't love it to be honest. idk why it just didn't click with me like it seemed to with so many others. I'd still give it a 4/5 or 8/10 because i enjoyed it very much and thought it was a great movie but maybe a bit overhyped? or at least for me.

I kind of felt the same way if you read my review Adam. The movie itself was great from a cinematic point of view, everything about it was great from the writing to the direction to the visuals, sound and acting, it just felt like they went for something campy and it left kind of a sour taste in my mouth. It's a great movie, but not a best picture candidate.

Conviction
I really enjoyed this movie, Hilary swank was incredible and deservers a nod at the Oscars (thought I may be biased as she has been my favourite actress since Million Dollar baby).  The good thing about this movie is that it left me wanting to find out more. For example why Nancy couldn’t be prosecuted and if Kenny’s wife was prosecuted for lying in court.

Overall this movie was well acted and well written and had me supporting the people I was suppose to support and hate the people I was suppose to hate. I actually cheered when the man came out with the box.

The only bad thing about this movie, was Hilary’s lips, that women in naturally pretty and she does that to her lips   :Kane:

Decent action/comedy if you take it lightly like you should. 6.5 out of 10.

I Watched the black swan last night and did not like it at all, a lot of stuff in it just seemed random and unnecessary, and i couldn't help but start laughing because it felt so awkward. I Think a lot fo it is supposed to just be a connection between her and the play and how they are alike in some ways but it really just wasn't enjoyable to watch and i was actually wanting it to be over. there's a lot of stuff that will leave you with question that never really get resolved i guess its up to you to make your own conclusion which i don't like either. im not going to rate this or anything beings a lot of people are thinking this is one of the best movies of the year and maybe its just me who didn't like it but i wouldn't recommend it unless you just wanna see natalie portman and Mila Kunus in some HLA as the old WWE would call it.

It was very uncomfortable but thats why it was such a great film. You couldn't predict where it was going and were fearing what could happen as opposed to actually seeing haunting things happen.
Any film that provides that kind of reaction is well made even if you couldn't interact with the subject matter- but I know you know that already. I agree with your points but I really liked it.

Le diner de Cons- the original french film that Dinner for Schmucks was based on (although I am led to believe they are very different seeing as this film is quite french orientated and the dinner party never happens.)
Worth a watch as it is a short film but a lot of jokes will get lost in translation if you don't speak French which I found (although I could still recognise them.) The jokes got a bit tiring too and the certain type of humour is one that I didn't find that funny.
Worth a watch as I said.

Resident Evil
Just brought all four on DVD today for £21 and figured they might be worth a watch. Just finished the first one sure it not Oscar material but as a horror Zombie film it’s great. Basically is just a Silly fun film.
Milla Jovovich is great as Alice also.

I skimmed this at first and thought you'd just bought the first one for £21. I was about to question your sanity.

I've just watched The Silence of the Lambs. Still one of my favourite films, Anthony Hopkins is absolutely mesmerising and Jodie Foster is also pretty on form.

Nobody ever gives Ted Levine any credit but I thought he was excellent in that film! I guess Hopkins and Foster's amazing performances kind of shadows it but imo he's up there with them.

The Karate Kid (2010)- A good film just to watch for fun

Shrek Forever After (2010)- I liked this film, didn't like any of the previous Shrek's but this one did it for me
