Well its his right not to calibrate the national anthem. but him adding "im black" to it is what really annoys me.i mean in his life time and in this day and age black people haven't been slaves or anything like that. they have any rights as any other race in this country.heck black people even have there own college fund. im not sure about this but i don't think any other race has that.so for him saying the fact that he's black is the reason he doesn't like it just seems pretty stupid to me.
Actually, Native Americans and Hispanics have there own college funds too. Also, to let you in on a little secret, those funds are for those students who attend Historical Black colleges only. So contrary to popular belief, not all blacks (including I) benefit from it.
Although I just want to add how much it pisses me off when a black person says or does something and then they act like they are excused because they are black. Or when they say something like this like black people wouldn't do something like that, probably thinking its something white people do.
As true as this is, it pisses me off. For example, I'm black and I'm very open minded to any thing (asked D.C. or Cannon). I listen to all varieties of music. My favorite kind to listen to is old school rock. Do you know how much crap I get from other black people because of it? Alot. Because it's "white people music". That is the biggest bunch of bologna I've ever heard. I'm listening to "Freebird" by Lynard Skinnard and if one of my cousins walked in on me right now I would get the dirtiest look. It's really sad.
What Josh Howard said cuts me deep because people are going to look at him and think that just because he said that then think all other black people must be as ignorant and narrow minded when there are some of us out there that are nothing of the sort. This is another classic case, of a rich black man creating a stereotype, that reflects all blacks.
One last thing. How in the **** do you celebrate the National Anthem? :lol2
