WNW reader Dennis Spencer sent word from last night's SmackDown/ECW house show in Macon, Georgia that Kennedy appeared to be shaken up during his match with Shelton Benjamin. According to Spencer, it looked like Kennedy separated his right shoulder after taking Shelton's finisher. I have not been able to confirm Spencer's report as sometimes workers sell things so well that they look legitimate. I will post an update if I get one, if not, we'll have full coverage of the SmackDown/ECW tapings later tonight in Atlanta.

I really hope he's not injured. He and Shelton could have a great feud. Their match on Smackdown! was very good. He needs momentum.

I really hope his injury isn't legit. With the luck he has been having with injuries, This is the last thing he needs.
"This is my welcome!"
Shame on TNA for letting go one of the best female wrestlers in the world.

I hope this injury is legit. Mr Kennedy is in my view the next big thing in the business and this will just keep him out long enough for the creative team to realize how much of a shit pile they have made with him for the past year. You only realize how good something is when you miss something. They will realize he is the man and finally start using him with some ****ing sense.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a waste of time?

There's no denying Mr.Kennedy's potential and mic work, but this guy is the most injury-prone wrestler out there today.

He had a muscle tear in Italy back in 05. I think he missed all of May 2007 after winning the Money in the Bank.

In September he missed even more action after he got suspended for the steriods scandal.

And now, this injury. Again, how many chances is this guy gonna get? He could've and SHOULD'VE been World Champion but it seems he gets injured at the worst times. Another injury, and I can't see him ever winning a World Title.

I never thought I'd say this, but my reply to this was going to be EXACTLY what Big Ace posted. Mr. Kennedy is too injury prone and too much of a wildcard to be a star in this business anymore. The suspension and his injuries aren't creative's fault.

Kennedy was going to be the champion when he won Money in the Bank but he got injured and had to give that up.

Then he was going to be revealed as Mr. McMahon's son but he got suspended for a wellness policy violation.

So you're going to tell me those things are creative's fault?

And you're going to tell me that after all the injuries and a wellness violation that they should push Kennedy to the stars regardless?

Why don't you go watch Smackdown and try to explain to me why jeff hardy isn't facing Triple H at summerslam. And even though it's only been a couple of weeks since he's been back, go watch RAW and tell me why William Regal wasn't the next GM last week and isn't getting a monster push anymore.

And those guys didn't get injured, just had wellness violations. If this injury is legit then it pretty much justifies any burying of Kennedy creative decides to do.

Think I'll have a wank over these tomorrow.

-- According to Jim Ross in a blog he posted earlier today on his official website, Mr. Kennedy dislocated his shoulder Monday night (at a SmackDown brand house show) in Macon, Georgia in a match with WWE U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin. Kennedy will be out of action for at least a few weeks depending on the results of his MRI.

Just thought i'd add this source as it add's to the legitimcay of the injury. If i'm being truthful, i'm not going to get beat up over this as i've never been a fan of Kennedy, nor thought all that highly of him.

Well this sucks for kennedy. it also sucks for shelton too because now they really have no chance of having a match at summer slam like i hoped. but im glad it only seems like its a few week injury.

- Ken Kennedy updated his official website with the status of his torn labrum injury. He dislocated his right shoulder during his match with Shelton Benjamin at a recent house show in Georgia.

If he doesn't have surgery, it will be 2-4 four weeks before he returns. If he has surgery, he'll be out for 4-6 months.

Hopefully for him he doesn't require surgery as it will be a massive setback for him, although for me personally I don't really care as I hold no interest in him what-so-ever.

It doesn't suck for anyone except those who are actually wasting their time caring about this man.

When people rehab for injuries, there is (or at least was) talk of taking time to get off the "ring rust" so they are as good as they were pre-injury.

Even if KK returns to that level of talent, he won't be half as good as those WWE released yesterday... I gotta wonder why he wasn't one of them.

Kennedy wasn't released because of the fact he is mad over with the fans, there are very few people that get the kind of reaction from a catch phrase that Kennedy does. Now the argument I hear a lot is "He's just saying his name" but how is that any different then when The Rock used If You Smell what The Rock is Cookin'? a few words don't do much in the business as long as someone is over. Ken could do something that none of the others released could and that is get a fan following, a massive move of casual fans and not just those on the IWC praising him.

Now I'll admit I'm not a huge Kennedy fan but he's marketable, and that's what matters in the WWE. With or without injury after injury. Now I don't see him being World Champion any time soon unless he can break this habit of always getting injured during a push but he's got that potential.

As for the MITB thing I see no reason why they had to strip it because of injury, the man who wins can use it anytime within a year and unless I'm mistaken he had plenty of time after his return from it he could've used it.

Hopefully it's just the 2-4 weeks that he's out or he's going to have to start climbing the mountain again.

I hate this for kennedy. it seems he always get injured or has some sort of bad luck everytime he starts to get momentum. it must be really hard on him.

I think they stripped him of it because they needed to take the world title off Undertaker ASAP because of his injury but Kennedy couldn't do it because he was injured at the time too....I THINK that's why they took the MITB off him anyway

but yeah Kennedy can't get a break he gets injured at the worst possible times...he should be world champion or at least in the title scene by now in my opinion this must really be pissing him off...when he gets back whether it be in a few weeks or 6 months (personally I hope it's sooner rather than later) I'd have him go to ECW for the time being to take it easy for a while but that's probably not gonna happen

I completely agree with you comparing the 2's mic work... But that's why Rock already had 2 DVDs before the most-recent & several action films, among other things; he had the mic work, & the talent to back it up. Injruy or not, Kennedy will never be as talented in the ring w/o a mic as the Rock was.

Did U C him where I did, when the guy visited Comic-Con fotr the "Leno" show? he interviewed Kennedy, & they showed it on Jay, even talking about wrestling... Any show will let him talk, but no show should be letting him wrestle as much as he does... At least not w/o more training.

Yeah, but (esp. since moving to Raw from SD), not as many fans were waiting for him to use it, let alone win the belt as the last MITB had done... Fanbase push for belts was part of what made Punk's win so huge off-camera... Not saying KK winning would've disappointed many fans, but there wouldn't have been as much positive reaction/excitement as there was for CM.
