There's a huge selection available in your User CP. Just go to "Edit Avatar" and they should show up.

How can i change my little tag under my name where it says "MVP of Mayhem"? i don't remember how i changed that but i dunno how to get back to it.

did it have to do with the little bank shop we had? and if so can we get it back?

Go into your UserCP and then go to Edit Details and there should be a box further down where you can put what you want. If that doesn't work, then let me know what you want addind and i'll do it for you as the only other way is via VBplaza and we don't have that anymore.

Hi. wasn't sure where to post this so move if you want.

What it is, whenever i make a post in a thread, it shows my new post, then i click new posts at the top of the forum page, and the thread where i just posted has disappeared from view.

Is there a way to change this so it doesn't disappear. I mean i have used vBulletin forums before and never really had the problem.

If you can help thanks.

That would be because there's no new posts in it since you replying to it a moment before.

From what you're describing though, you're probably mixing up the New Posts bit with the UserCP - in your UserCP you should be able to see a list of topics that you have subscribed to (assuming you have subscribed to the topic either automatically or manually - check your UserCP if you wish to change automatic the automatic settings).

Does anyone remember the "enhanced interface" when posting and replying to threads? You know, instead of getting the BB code when trying to bold or color or whatever, or would automatically do it? I can't turn it on anymore... the option is there in my options but it's not working. Has it been removed, and if so, could we get it back?

Anybody else getting this problem other than Prax? Mine's working fine and just checked your settings and it looks to be fine.

Maybe it's cause I use google chrome? it's still in Beta i think so that could explain why some features don't work... Caz what browser do you use?
Title: Re: {{OFFICIAL}} Help Thread
Post by: AngryCaz on 8 March 2009, 10:51:14 PM
Safari.
Title: Re: {{OFFICIAL}} Help Thread
Post by: Dale on 8 March 2009, 11:21:31 PM
It look's like it's a browser issue as Prax has just tried it on IE and it works fine for him. Caz, if you could try another browser it would be helpful, then we can put it down to the Chrome and Safari browsers.

These credits are pretty much going to be the same as the 'points' we had before where you would use them to purchase stuff in the vbplaza. I know it's not going to be the old vbplaza, but an alternative to it, so what it will have for you to purchase i'm not sure. I would imagine that Awesome or Will will make a thread about it when it's all installed and configured. As of right now, you simply get these credits for posting. If you look at the top of the page where you log in, there is a 'check' button, so click it and have a little read / play with it and you will probably find out more than I currently know lol.

Regarding the v-bookie, it's not back but it is something we are looking at trying to bring back, but there's all sort of issues with it which I won't bore you with.

Go back a page, we've already addressed this, it's a browser issue.

It's being put in place ready for a shop-type system that we're going to be installing (so you should be able to 'buy' things with the credits such as modifications to your username etc.).

Whilst getting vBookie back is unlikely, we'll be looking into similar alternatives that may work with the system. It's all to add a bit more fun to Mayhem of course :)

its been a long time since i really cared but what are the credits for that we get under our post count? i know we used to have the v bookie thing and we would make bets but either i can't remember or i just never figured out what our credits are for now.

no biggie just curious.
Title: Re: {{OFFICIAL}} Help Thread
Post by: Awesome on 30 January 2010, 12:49:13 AM
It was supposed to be the monetary system that would be able to be used when a shop-type system was installed, but it never did due to something else needing to be installed first (which I'm unsure if that ever did either) before the shop-type thing could be.

I just embedded the Wrestlemania theme song youtube video last night, so unless something changed since then it might just be your browser.

Like Greiman mentioned, if the embedded option is disabled by the uploader, that'll usually be the problem. If it is not disabled, try enclosing in [ame][/ame] tags instead.

Is this happening to anyone else this week?

Tell me how to immunize Chrome and I'd likely use it more.  Just opening it causes my virus and spyware protector to delete the same 4-5 tracking cookies.

I haven't had this problem, and I've had my share of problems in the past of trying to get mayhem to load.  Maybe it has something to do with chrome's settings that are causing the coding to show up.

He's using Firefox - Chrome was a suggestion from Prax.

That said, I use Firefox and have had no issues either. Maybe it's an addon you may be using that's messing it up somehow?

I don't know if anyone else has a problem with this, but when I try scrolling through the main page with the "page up" "page down" buttons, it only seems to work down to the RAW part of the page, and if I press up and down on the arrow keys it normally just skips from RAW to the bottom of the page. The home and end keys don't work either. Every other page seems to work fine, its just the main page. It something I've noticed for a while now. Its only a minor problem but would be cool to see it fixed

First of all, thanks for pointing out the "page down" bug - that was caused by something else using the same ID that it points to, so a slight name change made it work again.

As for the arrow/home/end keys issue, that is caused by the shoutbox (as the focus ends up being on scrolling through that instead of the board index) and obviously doesn't happen on other pages where the shoutbox isn't present. Unfortunately, it seems that only removing the shoutbox would solve the problem.

I noticed this as well, although underneath the last post in the topic/on the current page there is a drop down box. Or you can just keep pressing back until you get to where you were.
