Title: Smackdown Spoilers from June 5th 2012
Post by: Adampro123 on 6 June 2012, 06:28:56 AM
WWE taped this week's WWE Smackdown last night. Here are the full results.

Dark Match:

* Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose.

WWE Smackdown

* Alberto Del Rio opens with a recap of his attack on Sheamus on Raw. Sheamus’s music hits, but it’s Rodriguez dressed up like Sheamus, including bright white tights and shirt to emulate Sheamus’s skin. Rodriguez does a hilarious imitation of Sheamus as Del Rio interviews him. Sheamus comes out and the two fight up the ramp.

Teddy Long appears and books Sheamus vs. Kane and Del Rio vs. Khali.

* Alberto Del Rio defeated The Great Khali via submission.

* Baskstage, Naomi and Cameron dance for Teddy Long, and then Brodus Clay shows up. Long tells him that he is now permanently on Smackdown. Clay gets serious and says that he will treat his opponent tonight as if he is Big Show.

* Brodus Clay defeated Derrick Bateman in a squash match.

* Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre.

* McIntyre cut a promo demanding that an authority figure come out and explain why he isn’t in the main event status. Triple H came out, hit a Pedigree, and left again.

* Ryback defeated Two Local Wrestlers.

* Cody Rhodes comes out and destroys the Peep Show setup. He cut a promo talking about Christian, until Christian made his way out. Rhodes reminded everyone that Christian used to be a heel and says that no one is buying it. Christian finally explains his turn, and says that when he inducted Edge into the HOF, he had a moment of clarity and realized that he wants to be remembered for being a winner of championships, not someone who always whined for “one more match.” Dolph Ziggler interrupted for his match with Christian.

* Christian defeated Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match.

* Michael Cole cut a promo telling people to "move on" past the mess from Monday. Hornswoggle came out dressed up as JR. He bantered with Cole. Damien Sandow came out and verbally eviscerated Hornswoggle. Tyson Kidd saves Hornswoggle, and Sandow leaves the ring. As Kidd and Hornswoggle celebrate, Sandow sneaks back in and beats up Kidd, hitting his neckbreaker finisher.

* Backstage, Striker interviews Kane. Striker asks about the look between Kane and A.J. on Raw, and Kane ignores it and stomps off. A.J. then appears from behind some crates.

* Antonio Cesaro (w/Aksana) defeated Jimmy Uso.

* Sheamus defeated Kane via DQ. A.J. stared down Kane from the ramp after the match to close the show.

The Bad:
-YAY Ziggler loses again.
-Drew Mcintyre loses to Sin Cara
-AAAAAAND Michael Cole and Horswoggle.

The Good:
-Christian/Rhodes stuff seems good.
-Even though Ziggler loses again Ziggler vs Christian is bound to be good unless its short like Kidd vs Rhodes.
-Ryback squashes are always fun. im sure i will be thinking of that crazy video game idea prax came up with from now on when i see ryback. lol.
-Glad Cesaro is back in the show
-And it seems Tyson Kidd May finally be in an angle even if it does involve hornswoggle and he will just job out to Sandown.

The Other:
-Sheamus/Del Rio/Kane stuff doesn't interest me at all, 3 of the least interesting people in the WWE right now. Sheamus is always the same "blah blah blah arss blah blah blah fella blah blah blah lame cena/triple h type joke". Del rio is all "blah blah blah destiny" and Kane is just Kane.
-I don't know why they have Clay beat Bateman. Give him someone else to beat, not a face then again it's not like many people know who bateman is. Hell i guess the people booking SD doesn't know he's a face either. lol.
-Yet another show with no diva's I don't think i have seen them since the PPV. not complaining about that but i do find it kind of odd they just seemed to disappear. At least any divas that wrestle and isn't on NXT.

Overall it doesn't look like too bad of a show i guess.

Hornswoggle and the treatment of McIntyre piss me off. Triple H coming out makes it seem like he has some legitimate beef with McIntyre yet its kind of pathetic that he has to show he is the boss to someone that's been buried for no reason on screen. The guy was the top heel on smackdown at one point, good in the ring and generally an imposing threat. Instead they book him like shit by making him lose to clown shoes, who has had about a years worth of backing, still gets zero reaction, can't even open his mouth, has pretentious orgasm music and can't even go through a match without going "DOH I MIZZED MA CLOFEZLINE ZILLY ME".

Hornswoggle is generally a waste of space, I don't get why they've dug up heel michael cole again as well, even though i find him hilarious it just seems out of the blue and pointless and if its going to lead to some mediocre feud with that one trick pony i'll be annoyed. Only good thing about this segment is the fact that Kidd might be aligned with him which will give him airtime - i don't see why he needs him though. Sandow coming out will be amazing as well.

Ziggler once again getting stuck in some stupid anti-push just annoys me, I don't even see the point in this push as its clearly going no where if they can't even give him a proper win.

I thought we would finally get some direction with Clay but he still seems to be facing jobbers, they need to change that after the next PPV, I would rather he feuded with Show then Cena feuding with Show.

Everything else looks good though, i'll just have to be a bit grumpy sitting through a few bits.

McIntyre needs a win, don't like him losing to Sin Cara.
Rhodes/Christian stuff looks to be the highlight. I don't mind Hornswoggle coming out for once as he apparently will get 'verbally eviscerated' by Damien Sandow  :))

The squash meter has been off the charts on SD recently.

This came across better on TV. I enjoyed them finally giving some insight into Christian's face change, that peep show segment was good in general. Sheamus vs Kane was pretty good as well.

Damien Sandow was amazing as per usual, this guy oozes charisma and I hope he breaks through. Its not just the noticeable things he does, its the small things which sell his character for me.
