The United States Championship Tournament continues tonight on SmackDown LIVE with the Semifinal Round, and the first matchup will see The New Day’s Xavier Woods taking on former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Woods’ impressive showing in the first round against Aiden English has many believing he can knock Mahal out of the running, but The Modern Day Maharaja had words of warning for The New Day’s resident trombonist last week:

Who will move on to the tournament finals?

The second semifinal battle will see Bobby Roode clash with Mojo Rawley. Roode made it to this point by defeating former United States Champion Baron Corbin, while Rawley pummeled his former Hype Bros partner Zack Ryder to cement his spot in the semifinals.

The two Superstars came face to face last Tuesday when The Glorious One confronted Mojo after his victory over Ryder. However, rather than engage Roode, Rawley chose to leave the ring.

What will happen when these two rising Superstars collide with a championship opportunity hanging in the balance?

After being defeated last Tuesday by Becky Lynch, Ruby Riott showed that she and The Riott Squad would not be backing down from The Irish Lass Kicker, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Naomi, issuing a challenge for a Six-Woman Tag Team Match this week on SmackDown LIVE.

The Queen and her friends were more than happy to accept.

Which crew will reign supreme?

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn tried to sneak out of a 3-on-2 Handicap Match against AJ Styles, Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura last week, once by count-out and once by disqualification, but were thwarted twice by SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon, who turned the bout into a No Count-out, No Disqualification brawl.

That did not go well for Owens & Zayn, who felt the wrath of their three rivals before suffering defeat. Surely, tonight, the two friends will be looking for answers. Will they get what they’re looking for from SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan, who many think is giving them special treatment? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE!

Monday Night RAW / *OFFICIAL* Raw Discussion Thread: 15th January 2018

After Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss tried to spark rumors of Asuka talking trash behind Nia Jax’s back, Jax lashed out at The Empress of Tomorrow, sending a message to all of the Superstars competing in the historic first-ever 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match on Sunday, Jan. 28.

Per Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, Asuka will take on The Irresistible Force one-on-one. These Superstars crossed paths in NXT over the NXT Women’s Championship, but as history and a championship opportunity hang in the balance, this will be their most hard-hitting encounter yet.

The Miz returned to Raw last week with a singular goal: to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship he lost to Roman Reigns in November.

After The Big Dog and Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan lost a six-man tag bout to The Bálor Club last Monday — thanks in no small part to Jordan’s impulsive nature — Reigns succumbed to a 3-on-1 assault by The Miz and The Miztourage that was punctuated with a brazen mockery of The Shield’s Triple Powerbomb.

Reigns will defend his title against The A-Lister in a rematch on Raw 25 on Jan. 22, but based on The Big Dog’s tweet, Miz and his co-stars are in for an altogether different kind of blockbuster tonight.

Based on their defeat in last Monday’s six-man main event, it’s clear that Jason Jordan still has much to learn from Seth Rollins about being a team player. However, given that the unlikely partners are defending their Raw Tag Team Titles against Cesaro & Sheamus at the Royal Rumble event, Professor Rollins might have to accelerate his curriculum.

As Jordan’s impetuousness remains an issue, can The Kingslayer turn the “gold-blooded” Superstar into a true partner before their title defense?

With the aid of a grappling hook, of all things, Braun Strowman tore down a piece of the Raw set and nearly crushed Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Kane two weeks before the three behemoths meet in a Triple Threat Match at the Royal Rumble event for The Beast’s title.

Clearly, The Monster Among Men will stop at nothing in pursuit of Lesnar’s championship. What chaos will Strowman create this week?

After finally getting his WWE Cruiserweight Championship opportunity against Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander was victorious last Monday night — but he didn’t win the title. During the bout, Muscles Marinara injured his ankle outside the ring, resulting in a count-out victory for the challenger that kept the WWE Cruiserweight Championship firmly in the hands of The Certified G.

However, the temporarily hobbled champion will need to defend his title against Alexander in a rematch at the Royal Rumble event. How will Amore prepare for his forthcoming defense? Is Alexander finally primed to ascend to the top of the Cruiserweight division?

Don’t miss Monday Night Raw, tonight!

Last Tuesday, after losing to Sami Zayn in controversial fashion during a battle that saw Kevin Owens, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan get involved, a frustrated AJ Styles lashed out, saying he may as well face Owens & Zayn in a Handicap Match.

Bryan, whose leadership has been called into question in recent weeks, took the WWE Champion literally, making a Handicap Match for the title on the spot for the Royal Rumble event on Jan. 28. The Phenomenal One seemed less than thrilled with the decision. How will Styles react to this predicament tonight on SmackDown LIVE?

The first round of the United States Championship Tournament comes to a close this week on SmackDown LIVE, as Zack Ryder clashes with Mojo Rawley in the final opening round showdown.

There’s no love lost between the former Hype Bros, after Rawley unceremoniously turned his back on Ryder and defeated him at WWE Clash of Champions. Long Island Iced Z wants to reclaim the star-spangled title and get payback on his former friend, while Rawley is looking to prove a point to Ryder, which he clearly stated in an intense video posted on Twitter Sunday night:

Who will move one step closer to the United States Championship?

Becky Lynch hasn’t forgotten what The Riott Squad did to her during their first night on SmackDown LIVE. A vicious attack by Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan put The Irish Lass-Kicker on the shelf for over a month. However, Becky’s back, and she’s out for retribution.

She’ll get her first crack at The Riott Squad tonight, when she battles Riott in one-on-one action. Lynch won’t be alone, though – she’ll have SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Naomi in her corner to counteract any meddling Morgan & Logan might be considering.

Will Becky Lynch get the payback she’s looking for, or will The Riott Squad continue to cause mayhem as the historic Women’s Royal Rumble Match draws near?

Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable thought they had defeated The Usos and won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles last week. The referee counted three as Gable pinned Jimmy Uso, setting off a celebration. However, the official soon realized that neither Gable nor Jimmy were the legal Superstars in the battle, rendering his decision null and void, and he ordered the match to restart. The Usos stayed focused after the restart and walked out victorious with their titles in hand.

However, Gable & Benjamin are not going away quietly following the controversial ending. WWE.com has learned that the two are “demanding justice” after last week’s battle. What exactly do the two mat wrestling masters have in mind?

After saving their best friends from another bludgeoning at the hands of Harper & Rowan, The Ascension will get a crack at The Bludgeon Brothers this week on SmackDown LIVE.

Konnor & Viktor inadvertently fed their best friends, Tyler Breeze & Fandango, to the wolves over the past few weeks, volunteering them for rematches against the hammer-wielding monsters. After being saved from a beatdown by The Ascension, The Fashion Police showed Konnor & Viktor a great deal of gratitude, but said it was time for The Bludgeon Brothers to face someone their own size. With that, Breeze & Fandango went to Daniel Bryan and got The Ascension a match with Harper & Rowan this week.

Will the bludgeoning continue, or will Harper & Rowan go on a one-way trip to The Wasteland? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE!

In The Miz’s absence, The Miztourage has walked with Elias. Tonight, however, Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas return to the side of The A-Lister as the “must-see” Superstar re-enters the Team Red spotlight.

Will Miz set his sights on the Intercontinental Championship he lost to Roman Reigns, or will his attention shift to the Royal Rumble Match itself, where he could earn a Universal Championship opportunity on The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania 34?

When his hand goes up, our mouths might actually go shut tonight, as the entire WWE Universe is anxious to hear what he has to say.

In a match where a disqualification would have cost him his Intercontinental Championship, Roman Reigns vanquished the nigh-unstoppable Samoa Joe last Monday night, seeming to prove his dominance over The Samoan Submission Specialist once and for all.

The Big Dog is a fighting champion, though, and we don’t expect the bearer of Team Red’s workhorse title to rest on his laurels. Who will step up to “The Guy” in Memphis?

Since becoming “Woken,” Matt Hardy’s appearances on Raw have mostly been limited to taunting Bray Wyatt from afar, with one physical exception on Christmas when Hardy attacked The New Face of Fear in the ring. But for the first time since the former Raw Tag Team Champion was pushed past his breaking point to the higher plane he currently occupies, Hardy will be competing in in-ring action tonight. His opponent has yet to be determined, but one can only assume that deletions will be the order of the day.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar incurred the wrath of Kane last Monday night, and the resulting brawl between the two goliaths required nearly the entire Raw locker room to restore the peace.

Braun Strowman told Kane, in no uncertain terms, that he will not join forces with The Big Red Machine against The Beast Incarnate in Royal Rumble’s Universal Championship Triple Threat Match, so it’s no surprise that Strowman did not enter the fray. We’d be surprised if The Monster Among Men showed any such restraint if the opportunity to pummel either Kane or Lesnar presented itself this week.

We don’t think we’ve ever seen Finn Bálor smile quite as wide as he did last week, when he finally joined forces with his longtime friends Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson for the first time in WWE to defeat Elias & The Miztourage in a blistering Six-Man Tag Team Match.

After the bout, Bálor told WWE.com that “the boys are back in town,” leading many to believe that this “good brother” alliance wasn’t just a one-time occurrence. Will we see this “Too Sweet” trio dominate tonight?

In a WrestleMania-worthy match, Asuka defeated Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss last Monday night — a victory that undoubtedly earned The Empress of Tomorrow a title opportunity at some point in the near future.

The loss to the undefeated Asuka — one of 29 competitors in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match — has surely shaken the confidence of the self-proclaimed Goddess, who’s going to need all the self-assurance she can muster considering the Superstars who have already declared for the 30-woman match on Jan. 28.

With new female Superstars expected to declare for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match in the coming weeks, how will Little Miss Bliss assert her dominance over the division?

Don’t miss Monday Night Raw, tonight!

It is now official that Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore will defend his Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander tonight on Raw.

The match, originally scheduled to take place last week, had to be postponed after The Certified G was hospitalized with the flu. However, with Amore now out of the hospital and ready to compete, he will square off against one of the most dynamic and toughest challengers to his title reign - 205 Live standout Alexander.

Will Enzo be at full health for the title contest, or will Raw be Cedric's night to rise to the top of the Cruiserweight division? And how will the Zo Train factor into the major championship match? Find out tonight on Raw!

This past Sunday’s WWE Network special has come and gone, but not without its share of controversy. While serving as Special Guest Referees for the battle between Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon were unable to stay on the same page, and the friction led to a fast-count from The “Yes!” Man, resulting in KO & Zayn claiming victory and keeping their jobs. Plus, AJ Styles fought through the meddling of The Singh Brothers to retain his WWE Championship in a taxing bout against Jinder Mahal.

The bad blood will continue to boil over tonight in a Six-Man Tag Team rematch from Tribute to The Troops when Styles, Orton & Nakamura join forces to clash with Mahal, Owens & Zayn. What will happen when these intense rivals collide inside the squared circle?

The holidays are here, and The New Day is ready to celebrate! Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods will be out to spread cheer among the WWE Universe on SmackDown LIVE, but what will the four-time tag team champions have in store to make sure your Christmas isn’t booty?

Dolph Ziggler shocked the WWE Universe at WWE Clash of Champions when he walked out of a Triple Threat Match as the new United States Champion. The Showoff plans on rubbing that in the face of everyone who doubted him on SmackDown LIVE tonight, as he has a special celebration planned in honor of his big win.

Just what Ziggler has up his sleeve is unknown at this time, but The Showoff may have to deal with furious ex-titleholder Baron Corbin.

The Usos survived a grueling Fatal 4-Way Match on Sunday to hang on to their SmackDown Tag Team Titles, but their week won’t be getting any easier, as they’ll be facing Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin on SmackDown LIVE. The duos collided for Team Blue’s tag team titles over a month ago, and Gable & Benjamin won by count-out and feel that they’re still owed a rematch for the championship. This is their chance to prove they deserve it.

Can Gable & Benjamin once again knock off the champions? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE!

"The WWE Universe wants to turn their back on me? The women want to turn their back on me? Well now I'm turning my back on all of you!"

Natalya didn't mince words after her disappointing loss to Charlotte Flair at WWE Clash of Champions, claiming that the Women's division and the entire WWE Universe has been ungrateful for everything she's given over the course of her decade-plus WWE career.

Despite having the majority of the women aiding her efforts in the SmackDown Women's Title Lumberjack Match, Natalya fell short of recapturing the championship from Charlotte as she tapped out to the Figure-Eight Leglock. Following the bout, the former champ went on an emotional tirade over what she felt was a blatant lack of support from WWE fans.

"I have carried this entire division for 10 years," Natalya shouted, "and all of you have treated me with nothing but disrespect!"

Without a doubt, this is the most bitter side of Natalya that the WWE Universe has ever seen, and now questions are swirling about what's next for an elite performer who has shockingly lost her composure.

Will she exhibit a more hostile, ruthless side in her tactics to climb back to the top of the Women's division? Or could this possibly be the end of the road for Natalya just four months removed from her resurgent SmackDown Women's Title victory at SummerSlam?

Based off her harsh rant at WWE Clash of Champions, one thing is clear: Natalya is done caring about what the Women's division and the WWE Universe thinks of her.
